QUALITY AT A PRICE

SONY Laptop Intel Core i7-720QM 6GB Memory 500GB HDD NVIDIA GeForce 310M 16.4" Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit VPCF114FX/H
SONY Laptop Intel Core i7-720QM 6GB Memory 500GB HDD NVIDIA GeForce 310M 16.4" Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit VPCF114FX/H

Pros: The specs on this laptop tells you that it rocks, and it does, it will not disappoint you. May be the 64 bit windows 7, but it boots up alot faster than my last AMD dual core with 32 bit vista. The main difference I have noticed besides speed is that this Sony stays cool all the time. I have quit using chill pads and this means less gear to tote around with me. Another plus is the bus speed of this processor and DDR3 memory, incredible.

Cons: While the LED backlit display does cut down on heat and energy consumption, the picture seems washed out and not a crisp as my old LCD screen on an HP laptop. It may be that I just need to tweak some of the display settings, but I'm happy with it so far.

Overall Review: I paid what I would consider a premium price for this machine, but it has all the bells and whistles I need with blistering performance. The quality and build materials used in this laptop are excellent. It does look and feel like a 1350.00 laptop. You get what you pay for.

EXCELLENT VALUE

Pros: Boots quickly, stays cool, no lag in the video! Opened the computer when I got it and not a thing was out of place. It's always a good idea to make sure the RAM is seated tightly before booting.

Cons: None yet.

Overall Review: Would have liked an e-sata port for my external hard drives. Bought an e-sata to USB 3.0 adapter to get around that. 12 Gigs of RAM, 4 slots (4 + 2 + 4 + 2), motherboard supports up to 32GBs. Would of prefered the GT660TI with 2Gbs, but this card is handling the gaming without complaints!
