Second Review with more "Gathered" Thoughts
Pros: These Pros are from my previous review which all remain the SAME! -4th gen i7 quad core processor with intel integrated hd 4600 graphics. -16GB of DDR3 RAM -1TB HDD 7200rpm -256GB SSD with the OS loaded onto it -Nvidia GeForce GTX870M with 3GB of GDDR5 RAM dedicated Graphics card -Dual-Fan system with one covering both the CPU and GPU providing independent cooling for each -The fan spins at 25500 RPM at full speed and still manages to be quiet in comparison -The laptop comes with the necessities but is loaded with a Mcaffe trial and cyberlink trial, which both came off with my own preferences as replacements -FULL HD 1080p monitor -Backlit keyboard making using the laptop in the dark easy -The sound on this laptop is majestic -The keyboard is built well -Has an HD webcam that is great -5 second power on time, like literally from the time you click the power button the login screen is up within 7 seconds along with being able to start doing whatever you want right after you login. -I can output to my tv and still have no problem ------------------------------------------------------------------- New Pros After owning the laptop for an extended amount of time I can say even more. -I was playing Diablo 3 on it the other day, max settings, running a CONSTANT 120FPS for around 12 hours. (Insert "No-Life" Comment inside your head) While the laptops GPU and CPU stayed at safe temperatures for reliable consistency! I have researched what exactly the "MAX" temp for a Nvidia GPU is and i have found that it can be anywhere from 95-105 degrees Celsius (180-215 degree Fahrenheit ) while enjoying this gaming marathon the laptop had a steady heat of 70 degrees Celsius. -Playing World of Warcraft on it, before my FPS readings were a little off. While fighting Onyxia i was rocking a solid 180FPS, doing a raid finder is roughly (Depending on the fight) 75-120fps -While streaming and playing Southpark This stick of truth for roguhly 14 hours the GPU was running a cool 65 degree Celsius (According to the ASUS GPU Tweak) -I have absolutely no problems at all with this laptop so far (Hoping it remains this way)
Cons: So in my previous review these were my cons -- -The storage devices are partitioned weird, like 90/120/40 for the SSD and 465/465 for the HDD. If you don't know how to repartition a drive, google it.. -The laptop isn't heavy but isn't light. And is hard to find a carrier or bag for but it's possible.... ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Surprisingly I have no other cons to add to the list. I have found a really tough Swiss bag for my laptop and it's transportation. Hmm.... Nothing..
Overall Review: My other thoughts in my previous review --- When I put myself into the market for a new laptop I did hours upon hours of research to find the best laptop I could afford with the specs I wanted. The ASUS G750JSDS71 is probably more than most people need as for computing power but is definitely worthy to be called my "Gaming Rig". -Can't honestly say much about to touch pad because I never have liked laptop touchpads I like to play and stream games, this laptop can stream at 1080p 30fps with absolutely no problem (given you have to Internet for it too) I haven't played many games on it yet but let's give you this comparison.. On World of Warcraft Ultra settings I can be in a 40 man raid running 30fps consistently. And in an uncrowded area it runs 60+ FPS with no problem. And if you like minecraft it can run the ATLauncher mod packs with ease. And a few other games I've played on ultra with similar results. It does have windows 8.1 installed, I actually like it because I see that it isn't hard to use. It does take some getting use to though. I'll be posting another rating sometime within the year. All I can say is that if you're looking for a fast computer for the price this IS the laptop you should buy since the video card is updated (as of April 15, 2014). ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Nothing has really changed other than the FPS readings for WoW. Bottom line is this laptop is worth the money and is DEFINITELY a great price. Looking back at my purchase, I have 0 regrets.
Honestly the best
Pros: Has a native 12v hpwr, 1600w, zero fan mode, msi center monitoring for usage.
Cons: Price
Overall Review: Definitely worth the price. I wouldnt trust plugging my RTX5090 into any other PSU
