LG IPS234V-PN Review

Pros: -Better colors than the TN panel right next to this IPS panel -Out of the box, decently calibrated. Just had to adjust contrast and brightness. It is quite bright out of the box. -HDMI, DVI, VGA connections -Very affordable for e-IPS panel, bought it for $140 shipped. -14ms G2G is not actually 14ms. I played many games with this monitor and do not experience ghosting or input lag. -No dead pixels out of box -3 year warranty
Cons: -Power cable is quite short, but not a huge deal.
Overall Review: Some people that reviewed this monitor say it is very wobbly, this is not very true. There is a screw on the bottom of the stand which tightens the connection. Personally, I think it is not that wobbly, maybe a little bit but I do not even touch my monitor, so this is not a major issue. If your desk is wobbly, do not blame the monitor, blame your desk, why is your desk wobbly? Also for people complaining about no HDMI cable or DVI cable being included, you paid $140 for the monitor. How do you think LG can sell these monitors for $140? Just buy you own HDMI cable for $2, it's not a big deal. Stop complaining. Also, this monitor is not a TRUE IPS monitor. If you are a dedicated or hardcore photo editor or photographer, I do not recommend this monitor. It's actually a 6-bit monitor. True IPS monitors are 8-bit monitors. I would advise you to do some more research on IPS monitors if you are user that needs very very exact/sharp colors. I will update if anything else comes to mind, or if I find any more issues.

Pros: -Worked well while it worked
Cons: -Died after about 2.5 months. Good thing I didn't have super important documents on it. -I did safely eject hardware every time I was done using it, so it's not that.
Overall Review: -I might RMA it, see if it's worth the hassle. If I have to pay shipping, probably not. -Looking at other users, I would recommend to stay away from this drive. Seems to have high failure rate after ~2 months.
