Monitor 60's

Pros: Sound Depth
Cons: none
Overall Review: I was using two sets of Monitor 40's as front and suround's. Also using a CS2(center) and a PSW505(SW). I moved one set of the 40's to the back as rear surround's and put the 60's as fronts. All I can say is the difference between the 40's and 60's is night and day. The sound the 60's produce as far as sound depth was what I was looking for. I couldn't be happier with the sound. Im using a Yamaha RX-720.
Excellent...... while it was working!

Pros: Good sound, THX Certified, lots of features for the price compared to competing brands
Cons: Had to do firmware update right out of the box
Overall Review: For the first week the receiver was excellent. Started noticing a speaker popping noise coming from the right front. Then the noise would variate through the front speakers. Sent back to Newegg for a replacement. Received the new one and installed it today. After doing a firmware update the receiver wont turn on for any more than 10 seconds. I push the power button, the receiver starts up then a clicking noise then the receiver shuts itself off. So needless to say, I just off the phone with Newegg and I am sending this back for a refund.
Excellent Choice

Pros: Airplay, YPAO, two subwoofer outputs
Cons: none
Overall Review: After going through two Onkyo TX-NR709's in less than a month due to numerous problems their having. I decided on this one. After setting up the YPAO and fine tuning to my liking this receiver is awesome. I thought the Onkyo sounded good but this thing blows the Onkyo out of the water. If your looking for a well built, great sounding receiver, this is the one to get in this price range. I have recommended it already to a few of my friends.
