Decent Headset
Pros: Large, fairly lightweight, good sound quality, breathable cushions, not much sound leakage for a $100 xbox gaming headset, good customer support.
Cons: Extremely long cable if you are sitting close to your tv/ monitor, sometimes fickle surround sound (see other thoughts).
Overall Review: This headset is great if you have a big head like I do, the ear pads are light and breathable (with a small sacrifice in comfort), and the mic is average. The surround sound will sometimes turn off or act oddly. Switching the audio-box thing off and then back on usually fixes it, but this can be a pain in the middle of intense nonstop combat. For example, when boarding up windows in Black Ops 2 zombies, if you look the complete opposite direction from the window, you will sometimes be unable to hear the distinct "boarding up" sound going on. The very long cable can be a pro or a con depending on what your gaming setup is like, but for me it was a con. I had problems after a little while with my first pair of these, but Turtle Beach customer service was a breeze to deal with, and I got a new pair shipped to me quickly. Overall, a very good heatset for the price point.
Solid Monitor- Go For It!
Pros: High pixel count Rotation range Nice stand Really solid except for...
Cons: ...the buttons. Really, not a big deal, but they're not great. Not worth taking an egg off for.
Overall Review: There's not much that I can say here that hasn't already been said, but I'd like to be one more reviewer to recommend this product. Very solid (for the price, I sure hope it would be) and the monitor being 2560x1440p is a huge improvement over the standard 1920x1080p. If you're looking for something a step up from 1080p, but you're not quite ready for 4K, this is a great product.
