Pros: Have same unit, bought as a package, with Hd installed. Unit has lived up to my expectations as far as DVR goes.

Cons: Factory Installed HD quit after less than a month. Called Night Owl for a replacement, hoping to keep unit and just simply swap out the bad drive. I was informed, that since I opened the unit (as it had already quit) and replaced the HD myself with another unit to get the DVR back in service that the warranty was void. Needless to say I wasn't happy. NEVER buy anything else with Night Owl brand as result. Had I not had the bad support experience, would have rated HIGH.

Pros: Price, Deal of Day, Couldn't Pass up a bargain.

Cons: Bought two boxes, just spent an hour in the attic making two 125 feet pulls, wasted several dollars in ends, won't link, won't pass test with fluke network tester. Initially had two bad cables. After replacing each end twice I finally got a link on one cable. After 5 ends on each end of 2nd cable, pulled a new cable in, not Rosewill brand, crimped ends on and it worked. Meter length test on 125 feet would show 4 -7 feet. Either it didn't like my connectors or something, cable does NOT work for my. I have bought various brands thru the years and this is the first time I have ever had issues. Won't be buying any more of this at any price!

Overall Review: Used in commercial environment and buy good ends, have klein crimpers, fluke test equipment. I don't like having to redo work. I bought two boxes and the pulls were the first cable used from each box. May have been produced in same run however had issues with each box.

Pros: Decent System UNTIL

Cons: Hard Drive Crapped after two weeks. Still not a problem, but I needed the device working. I stuck a new drive in I had in stock, in a matter of minutes I was up and running. Happy until I called support, which told me since I opened the unit (which has advertised user replacable drives) WARRANTY IS VOID! Happy NO, will buy anything else Night Owl, NO! Hopefully you won't either.

Overall Review: I wouldn't have rated high based on experience but really didn't want to even give 1 egg based on my feelings for new egg.
