Most Favorable Review

My first Acer, but not my last

Acer H6 H276HLbmid Black 27" 5ms HDMI IPS panel Widescreen LED Backlight Monitor 250 cd/m2 1,000:1
Acer H6 H276HLbmid Black 27" 5ms HDMI IPS panel Widescreen LED Backlight Monitor 250 cd/m2 1,000:1

Pros: This monitor is gorgeous. Clear, bright, and precise at the native resolution. The slim frame presents a lovely aesthetic as well. Few IPS monitors at this price point look this good, period. Blu-rays and games look amazing. No dead pixels, all cables included.

Cons: Speakers are included but unnecessary and unimpressive. The lack of anti-glare can be a problem for certain households. Prone to fingerprints. The stand is certainly unstable at best.

Overall Review: I've watched Acer make quite a name for themselves in recent years, and I've played with their laptops and ultrabooks quite a bit. This marks the first time I've tried their monitors, but I now consider myself a great fan.

The epitome of overkill

Cooler Master Cosmos II - Ultra Tower Computer Case with Metal Body and Hinged Side Panels
Cooler Master Cosmos II - Ultra Tower Computer Case with Metal Body and Hinged Side Panels

Pros: There are few words to adequately convey the joy of working inside this case. Everything is well built, solid, open, and spacious. The options available for cable routing are nearly limitless. The first things I found myself doing was REMOVING unnecessary hard drive cages and such. The options for fan upgrades and such are also noteworthy. Definitely recommended for those who demand one of the best and the biggest regardless of bang for the buck.

Cons: The hard drive cages are a bit flimsy at this price point. The case is extremely well made, some of the extras felt flimsy. The quick lock optical drive buttons are generally worthless.

Overall Review: Ensure your power cables are long enough. Some of the SATA cables going to the optical drives and mid hard drives are stretched going to the bottom mounted PSU. Also, it IS worth noting... a dry weight of 47.3 pounds (empty!) and a 27" case height are somewhat limiting in both practicality and location. Not worth an egg, as that is its selling point, but ensure it is what you WANT.
