Best theatre I ever had
Pros: This is the best theatre I ever had. The deep bass, the crisp sound. The easy setup. There is a sound calibration device to plug in so it sets everything up for you. But if you need to adjust the sound to more of your liking you can change that (see "other thoughts"). the volume goes up to 30. i see people complain that you have to turn it up to 20 or 24 to get it loud. I don's see a problem with that, because it's the same as other systems, or tv's that you turn it up a little and it's loud. You don't turn me up full blast anyway. So this just does the opposite it's not a big deal.. If that makes sense. I owned a samsung theatre before this, and it was more expensive, and the sound wasn't as good as this. It can shake the walls, and feel like you're in the movie. You can hook this up to your tv, you can also hook it up to a ps3/xbox. I have and hdmi from the theatre to the tv. for dvds. I have an optical cable from the ps3 to the theatre. Finally I have a coaxial cable from the theatre to the tv. All you do is click tv/cable on the remote and you have sound for tv or ps3/xbox.. Is sounds great on games, and blu ray.
Cons: the only con, is that rarely the sound will jump off. maybe it's my cable company or something, but it's rare. All you do is turn it off and turn it back on and it's fine.
Overall Review: I read some reviews give this system low stars because they say you can't adjust the speakers, or sub volume, but you can. All you do is click the dvd/cd button on the remote. click the display button on the remote. scroll all the way down to setup, click custom, and then custom again. scroll all the way down to speaker setup. Click right and go down to level front, for left, right, center, and sub. Then go down one to level surround for the left and right back speakers. all you do to change the volume of them is right click to highlight and then press up or down to the sound. and also at first if you want to , you can hit test tone and white noise comes out of the speakers one at a time and you can adjust the sound volume to hear what volume you need.
playing a movie
Pros: This game surprised me even with all the good reviews. once you pick it up and play, you won't want to stop. the environments are beautiful. There are many challenges to do through different areas, like light 10 statues, destroy 12 hanging lamps. There are tombs to explore, animals to hunt for xp to upgrade your weapons. The story is great. We get to see how Laura became Laura The character animation is great. when enemies fall it seems so real.. Online gameplay well, it is what it is. As it is in most games that don't need online. It's nothing fancy but something to do i suppose, or to get some trophies. In the end If you like games, get this game.
Cons: Not any real cons about the game. The only cons i see are just the reviewers who gave this game 1 star, and some that complained about the blood, or gore. No way this is a one star game. Maybe 4 if you're being too critical. The blood, ok yes when you die the screen turns red, or when you shoot someone blood comes out, but it's not anymore gory than any other game. No insides fly out, heads don't chop off. Everyone knows it's just a game and not real. well i hope they know . -_-
Overall Review: This is just some advise if you are using a surround sound theatre with this. If the explosions sound crumbly or like your speakers are messing up. Go into game settings, in audio settings turn everything down to about 50%, and it will sound great. It happens to a lot of people i hear, also in battlefield 3.
