Nice!

Telex Electro-Voice EV Sonic XS 4.1 5-Piece Powered Hardcore Multimedia Speaker System-A Grade Refurbished
Telex Electro-Voice EV Sonic XS 4.1 5-Piece Powered Hardcore Multimedia Speaker System-A Grade Refurbished

Pros: Initial thoughts: Very loud, clear sound. PRECISELY what I was looking for. Highly recommended, and was a steal during the Shell Shocker.

Cons: Wires are pretty short. The ones meant to go behind you are longer than the front (as they should be) but I can see most people having issues. Luckily, extensions are cheap and easy to find, it's just a single RCA for each satellite. Said satellites are pretty large, but I knew what I was getting into beforehand.

Overall Review: Okay, here's the rundown on how the setup works: Subwoofer unit contains amplifier and woofer. Amplifies four channels, each connected by a single RCA jack. Wire is directly soldered into each satellite and is not removable. Sub has its own volume control, and the rest are controlled via the right front channel controls. The right satellite has an additional plug for controls and auxiliary inputs; it also has a 3.5mm aux in, mic, and headphone. There is an additional 3.5mm in the back to plug into your computer's mic port. Inputs are RCA type L/F for front and rear, on the back of the sub. Cables are included for those whose sound cards only have 3.5mm plugs for the front and rear channels (but no RCA-RCA). Knobs on the right satellite are for power/volume, front/rear fade, and "tone" for bass/treble bias.

Doesn't work with 775!

ARCTIC Freezer 7 Pro - Compact Multi-Compatible Tower CPU Cooler | 92 mm PWM Fan | for AMD AM4 and Intel 115x CPU | Recommended up to 115 W TDP
ARCTIC Freezer 7 Pro - Compact Multi-Compatible Tower CPU Cooler | 92 mm PWM Fan | for AMD AM4 and Intel 115x CPU | Recommended up to 115 W TDP

Pros: Looks nice, big heatsink. Copper heatpipes would probably work really well.

Cons: Retention bracket didn't work with LGA775! None of the holes lined up even though I tried every trick in the book, even looked online for about 3 hours. Probably would cool really well if it actually fit...Newegg's amazing service prevented it getting only a 1 egg.

Overall Review: Well, I did order an open box...but it should still work right?

Meh.

Team 32GB microSDHC Flash Card Model TUSDH32GCL1029
Team 32GB microSDHC Flash Card Model TUSDH32GCL1029

Pros: Meh. It's okay. Performs within Class 10 specs for seq. write and 512 write, but doesn't go above and beyond. Ran it through CDM x64 after a fresh FAT32 format with allocation size at 32KB, 5 runs with 1000MB file, through an SD card adapter; Sequential Read: 19.119 MB/s Sequential Write: 13.020 MB/s Random Read 512KB: 18.869 MB/s Random Write 512KB: 11.263 MB/s Random Read 4KB (QD=1): 3.090 MB/s [754.5 IOPS] Random Write 4KB (QD=1): 1.219 MB/s [297.5 IOPS] Random Read 4KB (QD=32): 3.227 MB/s [787.9 IOPS] Random Write 4KB (QD=32): 0.972 MB/s [237.3 IOPS]

Cons: USB reader was DOA. Judging from the reviews, I'd say that the reader is a defective design. I thought the card itself was dead, but I popped it into a SD adapter and it worked just fine. -1 egg for a faulty reader. Card itself seems to be fine though.

Overall Review: DHL took their sweet time shipping the package, though I can't knock the product. Got this on a shell shocker deal--wouldn't recommend this at regular price.

works very well

IOGEAR Wireless HDMI Digital Kit GW3DHDKIT
IOGEAR Wireless HDMI Digital Kit GW3DHDKIT

Pros: Transmits HD through an industry standard (WHDI I believe?) for sending 1080 wirelessly. I have my reciever strapped to the back of my TV powered by a USB port. 2-source with pass through shows that some actual thought was put into this as opposed to rushing to market.

Cons: Heavy bandwidth of 1080p makes for short range. I couldn't transmit reliably from upstairs and one room over: I had to move the xmit to right above the reciever. Some lag time too, you can look at one TV in a room, and if you move fast enough you can see the same picture again on the receiving end. I'd say it's about half a second or so. Definitely not for gaming, but for media it'll work just fine. Expensive for what it is.

Overall Review: Included a template for the reciever to be mounted on the wall, which I thought was cool. Can't comment on the IR blaster or anything since my remotes are RF.

Pretty good for the price!

Intel Core 2 Quad Q8300 - Core 2 Quad Yorkfield Quad-Core 2.5 GHz LGA 775 95W Desktop Processor - BX80580Q8300
Intel Core 2 Quad Q8300 - Core 2 Quad Yorkfield Quad-Core 2.5 GHz LGA 775 95W Desktop Processor - BX80580Q8300

Pros: Good, solid performer, although obviously nowhere near the performance (or price!) of a 9 series. Clocked to 3.52 GHZ stable (55C load), which is apparently pretty high for this processor. Guess I got a good one. See other comments for how I got to 3.52.

Cons: Why is this still this expensive? Got for ~$125 on eebaye

Overall Review: For those of you who want to know how I got to 3.52, i'm running a Gigabyte GA-EP45-UD3P ver 1.6 on the latest stable BIOS (cant remember off the top of my head). Clock control at 470, multi at 7.5, and i'll leave the rest up to you :) hint: bumped vcore and nb a couple notches. Also with OCZ Gold DDR2-800 2x2 (2.1v) and a Xigmatek S1283.

Works with Dragon NaturallySpeaking 10

MICRO INNOVATIONS IC35CA USB 2.0 WebCam
MICRO INNOVATIONS IC35CA USB 2.0 WebCam

Pros: Microphone compatible with Dragon 10. Very good value when it was at it's $10 sale price.

Cons: Mediocre motion tracking at best. Definitely not worth the $40 price tag.
