Brother HL Series HL-5250DN Workgroup Up to 30 ppm Monochrome Ethernet (RJ-45) / LPT / USB Laser Printer
Brother HL Series HL-5250DN Workgroup Up to 30 ppm Monochrome Ethernet (RJ-45) / LPT / USB Laser Printer

Pros: Perfect printer. I do not mind about paper curl, that is very minor thing. I replaced this printer with HP 1020 because i could not share it in my network. Share mode was working perfectly when HP 1020 was connected to XP Professional and XP x64 Professional but i could not make it to work with Vista 32 Ultimate and Vista x64 Ultimate in share mode. I have spent many days and nights talking to HP technicians and engineers, no joy at all. After all these troubles i have decided that this printer goes to dumpster and i replaced it with HL-5250DN (no need for share mode because it has network interface). Problems with network printing are gone, i can sleep now. I do not care how much current pulls, i can work around it, but if cannot print then becomes a problem.

Cons: Only cons here would be NEWEGG, because refuses to post mi reviews and my comments were strictly positive. What in the h??? is going on here? I do not know, do you?

Cons: Few days after I bought this printer I reviewed it as an excellent printer. After owning it for six months I changed my opinion because drum unit quit working after 950 pages of usage. Factory warranty for the drum unit is 90 days, so it cannot be replaced by Brother and I am without printer now. The cost of new drum unit is outrageous. After having this problem I did a little research about faulty drum unit and people complain about it a lot, so I guess is my mistake that I didn’t do a good research before I decided to place the order. So, my point is that this printer cannot be considered as a cheap option, because Brother is tricking you with very low price out of door, but the maintenance costs for this printer are outrageous.

Overall Review: I just wanted to share my story with all of you and let you know that this printer is not cheap and reliable as I thought. After owning it for six months and after 950 pages definitely I am not recommending it and you should be aware of drum units with poor quality. Newegg has nothing to do with this problem, all complaint goes to Brother.

Does't work in Windows 7 x64

Targus Bluetooth 4.0 Dual-Mode micro-USB Adapter - ACB10US1

Pros: None, Zero, Nada

Cons: Doesn't work in Windows 7. What can be worst that that?

Overall Review: The funny thing is that this little fella works in Ubuntu, openSuSE 12.1, Snow Leopard 10.6.8 (Hackintosh). I could connect all of the cell phones in the family, three mouses and tho headphones in all of the distros listed above without any problem. I have only one Windows 7 x64 box, and this little fella could not discover or get connected to any of our Bluetooth enabled devices. I've bought it with intention to use it on Win 7 x64. What a joke ...

Sony Ericsson Xperia ray Gold 3G Unlocked GSM Android Smart Phone w/ Android OS 2.3 / 3.3" Touch Screen / 8.1MP Camera (ST18a)

Pros: None

Cons: The minute you turn your phone on, you will be greeted with free AT&T message letting you know that they have changed your data plan from "unlimited data for feature phone" to "2.0 GB smartphone compatible data plan" for you. How do i know this? Because i have had Nokia E72 with unlimited data for feature phones (15/month; and i do not know why AT&T is referring to E72 as a feature phone when it has HSDPA 10.2 Mbps for UP; HSUPA 2 Mbps for DOWN cellular radio; they scanned the bar-code of the phone and the IMEI and they said that E72 qualifies for unlimited 15/month data plan), and i bought AT&T's Lg Thrive GoPhone. So, as soon as i've started using the phone (not more then 5min.) my data plan has changed. Do not doubt AT&T ability to sweep their network; they are protecting their revenue streams well ...

Overall Review: I was pretty upset with Nokia E72 inability to do mail for exchange sync with google accounts (cal, cont, mail). There were workarounds, but i did not like them. I did not want to sign up a new contract with AT&T until i was able to figure out if what i was looking for was possible. So, i bought this "inexpensive" GoPhone type of smart phone to give it a try, and i can sync my private calendar and my work calendars as well ...

S-IPS

Mac Display
Mac Display

Pros: I just want to respond to the others reviewers. I do not own Apple 30” monitor. This Apple monitor supposes to be S-IPS or at least IPS LCD panel. From the tests we know that any S-IPS panel with 16 ms response time can outperform any other type of LCD panel with much faster response time in any way. You cannot correlate the response time with the overall performance of the monitor. So, if you can discover that this monitor is equipped with S-IPS panel this is all you need to know. Yes, it has slower response time, but can outperform them in any way. Right now S-IPS panels are the best on the market, they are very expensive and they are approaching the performance of the CRT monitors. Sometime companies are launching some monitor models equipped with S-IPS panels just to attract customers and they suddenly switch the panels with S-PVA panels which are less expensive and they are close with performance to S-IPS panels. Another thing is Quality Assurance Issues during production.

Cons: None

Overall Review: You can read this before to go to sleep.

Hanns·G HG-281DPB Black 28" 3ms Widescreen LCD HDMI Monitor 500 cd/m2 800:1 Built-in Speakers

Pros: I bought this baby from Bestb** for 200 $ less. But this is not about the money, this monitor is huge. I replaced it over 19” ViewSonic monitor, and I can tell you this, it is a huge difference, I cannot take my eyes from it. I would pay even 200$ more for this huge monitor, no, no 300$ more. Lets focus on the review, I would like to share my impressions with the others that this monitor definitely performs better with Vista (I’m using Vista x64 ultimate) than with Ubuntu 7.10. Colors are alot nicer. I am using Linux more than Vista, so it is what it is.

Cons: None.

Overall Review: To the other reviewers, I am going to say that “you are getting what you are paying”. I’m happy with my purchase and I would definitely recommend it for everyday users. What you are waiting for?
