HI, looking for a low profile cooling fan for a mini-itx build where the power supply is hovering just 1 5/8 inch over the AMD chip.  Wondering is this fan fits the bill?  Thanks!

No, this will not fit the bill at all for a low profile build. This thing is like a skyscraper in my tower (albeit a cool looking one). You'd not fit this one in a smaller case. Hope this helps!

Question 2

Would this fan fit in an AZZA Solano 1000R case?  The case is 8.1" wide and has a large 230mm fan on the side.  Will be mounted an on ASrock Extreme4 motherboard if that matters.

Matthew, I have this cooler in my case and it did fit, but I did have to remove my side fan. Your fan is bigger than mine so you'll need to remove it if you pursue this purchase. It does a good job though so no bad reviews on it from me. Hope this helps.
