Is this safe to use indoors?  Do to storms my area has power outages on average about once every 6-12 months.  It would be run in my spare bedroom/computer room.

No, it is not safe to run indoors. The exhaust contains carbon monoxide and other harmful, potentially fatal, gasses. Run outdoors in a well-ventilated area only.

Can this charge a 48v 16ah/21ah E-bike battery?

Accepted Answer

Not directly. It has a 12V DC output but not a 48V DC output. You would need to plug a battery charger into the 120V AC output and charge it that way. But it does have plenty of power to charge a 48V 21AH battery via a battery charger.

can it be use oversea where the voltage is 220v to 240v?

This generator outputs 120 volts only. Although the unit will run fine over seas, it will still only output half the voltage required (220V).  Best, JC

A spark plug wrench, a small bottle of oil, and an alligator-clip cable for the 12V outlet.

If it is rated at 1800 watts running why does the outlet state 13.3 amps max (1596 watts)?

Read this review:   Generator appears to be very well made , starts easily usually on second pull , needs to be choked , runs smooth and steady but will not pull 1600 watts ! 1250 watts is about all that can be squeezed out of this unit , any more and engine " hunts " for rpm . I called tech and he agreed with my figures and offered me money back . It runs so smooth at 1250 watts and below I decided to keep it . Have owned 10 other generators at one time or another including  the red one but this one just runs too good not to keep . Lightweight and very attractive . I have bigger generators if I need more capacity.  If 1200 watts will meet your needs I would highly recommend this unit especially at the price . Bob in Omaha .

For those who are running two in parallel, is there any "vampire" power loss when tying the two together? Meaning two will not actually provide a full sustained non-peak sustained running 3600 Watts?

you will get roughly 90% of the sum of the two , so around 3k, but that is peak.
I would say if you wanted to make a good calculation and run for a while, 2 to 2.5k is a reasonable estimate and you
would not be overestimating the output of the two combined. It is always better to run smaller load than the generator is rated at btw.

How much does the generator weight (when empty of any fuel)?
