Can tis be added to an active subscription with over 270 days left?

A Quicken subscription can only be extended or renewed during the last six months of the subscription term. Quicken sends an email reminder 30 days before the renewal date, and if the membership expires, the Quicken product will display messages to renew or update.

How long is the code good for? My 6 months to renewal is still a few months out...

Yes, but you can only redeem the activation code in the retail copy to extend your subscription in the last six months of your current subscription term.  Note: Activation codes are good for one year after purchase.

Question 3

Now that it is 2025 and Quicken not allowing the codes to be added for renewal on some products listed as "new subscription", will this one work to renewal? Has anyone tried it recently?

I tried it January 25th and it worked for me.  I had slightly less than 6 months in my subscription.  I waited for that before I tried it.  It was a renewal.

does this work for renewals?

I have used these in the past to extend a current subscription.  From Quicken you can go to Help > Manage Your Subscription > Enter Activation Code...  Just enter the code from the key card and it should extend the subscription provided you have less than 6 months left on you current one.

Is the expiration 1 year from purchase or 1 year from when first available (Oct. 31, 2023)? I'd think the latter since the validation system would not know the purchase date of a given package.

Expiration is 1 year from when you use the code to activate the subscription

Is this delivered as physical medium by mail/courier or is it delivered by email as an electronic code?

It is a physical package, but does not contain any code media, i.e. no CD. A small box with a card containing the Activation Coee

Either.  I just used it tonight to extend my existing subscription. Works perfectly, and nowhere on the box or instructions does it say new subscriptions only.
