Can this controller be used for PC games as well as Xbox?

Yes, this controller is compatible with both Xbox 360 and PC.

Additionally, you can download software from Razer to enhance your gaming experience. They offer VOIP software, efficiency software that pauses/disables other software and processes while you're in game mode, video/screenshot software, and more. Their customer service was also very quick and professional.

The controller has a good feel to it, and the cable feels strong as well. It is certainly a high-performance, high-quality controller.
However, the advertising statements about being "fully programmable" are a little misleading. I bought one thinking the extra buttons had unique input signatures that I could set to any button on my keyboard/mouse, but I was mistaken. They also do not provide any software to allow that sort of customization.
The 2 bi-directional switches on the back (middle finger triggers) and 2 extra shoulder buttons can be remapped to any button on the regular Xbox 360 control without additional software.

can i use this on a 64 bit pc?

Yep. I have 64 bit OS Windows 7. No issues what so ever. Great controller overall, just beware, the controller's cable tends to become loose, and is incredibly easy to rip out, so handle it with care.

Sorry the controller must be plunged in at all times.With that being said,the cord is very heavy duty in quality.I've been using this controller everyday (2-4 hours of game play)since I bought it,and never had any issue's with it.Anyway,hope this helps.

are the botton on the dpad and elswhere individual, or connected all to one pivot point?

Individual, I would be wary with this product though i had mine for approximately a month before it started to bug out from moderate use, my bumpers and joystick buttons no longer work.

I don't see why it wouldn't, I use it on my PC. Not Alienware, but again I don't see any difference.

Yes! I use this exclusively on my home PC and works great.  For 2D side scrollers, it's a must.

Does it require USB 3.0 or will it still work with USB 2.0?

Under Windows 8.1, it was automatically detected and automatically installed on both USB 2.0 ports and USB 3.0.

Can you use the mapping feature to map a combination of buttons, say like LB+A, or RB+B? (Or any other combo's anyway)

No.  It can only map one button at a time. I was hoping I could map keyboard keys to the extra buttons since I use it for FFXIV, but it can only map the current buttons on the controller.

Can I use this with my linux setup (LinuxMint 15) on my laptop?

I used with Linux and it worked fine. Can't remember if I had to download a driver or plug and play. Hope this helps.
