I just leave the settings on sound location at default since it sounds extremely well.

it works best with headphones, but it did make my speakers sound different as well, not BETTER mind you, but different

I still haven't received the information to register the product in order to get the activation code. Does anyone know how to get it?

There is no activation code.

I purchased Razer and it worked great. Have Realtek Optical Output to to DSS2 turtle beach and although Razer was listed under "speaker" it worked.  I turned off the speaker option and now I get no effects from Razer. That is, I don't think anything is going THROUGH Razer to be processed! How can I correct this?

Unfortunately i do not know. I purchased the software when it was free, but never used it. My new motherboard came with what i believe to be superior software.
