Yes, this cable will plug into your 2TB WD Drive. I am using mine on a 2TB Seagate drive just fine. Of course, I am connecting my drive to a desktop computer's motherboard, to gain more capacity. If you are using it for another application (DVR, etc), you might need a different cable. Best always, Michael
