Question 1

Does this headset play your voice back into the speakers so that you can hear yourself?

Accepted Answer

All headsets have this ability on the computer to play your voice back. its a setting in your audio controls. As for on Xbox one console I don't think it does, but I've never really listened for my own voice :) Hope that helps.

Question 2

Is the Corsair VOID PRO Surround good for console and mobile gaming?

Accepted Answer

The VOID PRO Surround can suit console and mobile gaming when the required analog connection or adapter is available, but its Dolby Headphone 7.1 feature is intended for PC through the included USB adapter. For portable use, a 3.5mm headset such as the HS60 PRO Surround or HyperX Cloud II is generally easier to connect because those models are designed around analog multi-platform compatibility. Choose the VOID PRO when PC gaming is the priority and console or mobile use is secondary.

Question 3

Should I get the Corsair VOID PRO Surround or the newer VOID ELITE Surround?

Accepted Answer

Choose the VOID ELITE Surround when the price and warranty are similar because it updates the VOID design with a 20 Hz–30 kHz published frequency range, an omnidirectional flip-to-mute microphone, and newer platform support. Choose the VOID PRO Surround when it is substantially cheaper or when you specifically prefer its unidirectional noise-cancelling microphone. The published frequency-range difference alone does not establish a guaranteed audible improvement.

Question 4

Is the wired Corsair VOID PRO Surround better than a wireless VOID headset?

Accepted Answer

Choose the wired VOID PRO Surround for uninterrupted sessions, no battery charging, and a straightforward PC connection through its USB adapter. Choose a wireless VOID model when freedom of movement is more important than cable-free maintenance; the VOID RGB ELITE Wireless provides up to 16 hours of battery life and up to 40 feet of wireless range. The wired model is better suited to a fixed desk, while the wireless model is more convenient for moving around a room.

Question 5

Corsair VOID PRO Surround vs HyperX Cloud II: which should I buy?

Accepted Answer

Choose the Corsair VOID PRO Surround if you want a USB gaming headset with Dolby Headphone 7.1, iCUE equalizer controls, and a permanently attached noise-cancelling microphone. Choose the HyperX Cloud II if you prefer a lighter headset with a detachable microphone, an aluminum frame, interchangeable ear cushions, and a simpler USB control box. The VOID PRO is more suitable for PC users who want Corsair software and integrated controls, while the Cloud II is more flexible for users who value replaceable headset components.

Question 6

Is the Corsair VOID PRO Surround better than the HS60 PRO Surround?

Accepted Answer

The VOID PRO Surround is the better choice for PC-first use because it is USB-based and includes Dolby Headphone 7.1 plus iCUE controls. The HS60 PRO Surround is more practical for portable and multi-device use because it connects through a standard 3.5mm plug, includes a USB surround adapter for PC, and has a detachable microphone. Choose the VOID PRO for a dedicated desktop setup; choose the HS60 PRO when analog compatibility and a removable mic matter more.

Question 7

Does Dolby Headphone 7.1 surround sound work on consoles?

Accepted Answer

The included Dolby Headphone 7.1 feature is intended for PC use through the included USB adapter and CUE software. On consoles, the headset can be used for audio and voice chat, but the product information does not indicate that the PC Dolby 7.1 feature is available there.

Question 8

Who should buy the Corsair VOID PRO Surround?

Accepted Answer

It is a good fit for users who want a wired, over-ear gaming headset with large 50mm drivers, a noise-reducing microphone, PC software controls, and Dolby 7.1 surround sound. It is less suitable for buyers who specifically need wireless operation, Bluetooth, or full surround-sound software features on consoles.

Question 9

Is the Corsair VOID PRO Surround better suited for PC gaming or console use?

Accepted Answer

It is best suited for PC gaming because the included USB adapter enables Dolby Headphone 7.1 surround sound and CUE software controls. It is also listed as compatible with Xbox One, PS4, and mobile devices, but Xbox One may require a separate Microsoft adapter. Console use may provide fewer software-based features than PC use.

Question 10

Is the microphone suitable for multiplayer chat and work calls?

Accepted Answer

The unidirectional noise-cancelling microphone is designed to reduce ambient noise and is Discord Certified for gaming communication. It should work well for multiplayer chat and basic calls, but the product is primarily a gaming headset rather than a dedicated professional conference headset.
