Do the arm rests adjust up or down ?? The top front of any chair I am able to use can only be 5" above the seat cushion.

The arm rests dont move. I don't know the measurement from the cushion though.

Is the leather on this chair faux or real?

Faux and the chair is uncomfortable

is it under 24 inches because lots of desks are only that wide?

The arm rests are 25.5". If you remove the arm rests then it is only 21.5" wide.
