How can i verify that this power supply work properly in my old dell precision 380?

It does and doesn't. The hard drive cable will have to be routed over the fan shroud instead of under and the cover will not close unless you snip off the bottom of the hard drive holder. That will give it a little more room. I still put a piece of electrical tape between the hard drive connector and the side of the case. The original Power Supply had a 90 degree hard drive connector that gave the extra clearance. :)
