Do the carabiners come as a pack of two?
Our locking and auto-locking versions come as a pack of two carabiners plus two extra keyrings. The lightweight snap carabiners come in a pack of eight with eight extra keyrings.
Are these magnetic? I want to use them for magnet fishing and don’t want a carabiner that sticks to the magnet.
They are not magnetic. Our locking and auto-locking versions are commonly used for magnet fishing.
Will this hold a large dog on a leash?
Yes, they are very sturdy. We recommend our locking and auto-locking versions for this purpose as they are both lightweight and strong.
Have these been tested for pulling?
They are rated to hold up to 2,697 lbs. Some customers even use them for pulling their boats on trailer lines and in the water. They are made from noncorrosive aluminum alloy and can be used for crabbing.
Why can’t this carabiner be used for climbing?
These carabiners are rated at 12 kN.
Typical climbing carabiner ratings are:
* Major axis (closed gate): at least 20–24 kN
* Major axis (open gate): at least 7 kN
* Minor axis (cross-loaded): at least 7 kN
