Compatible with i3 right? I'd imagine so, just want to make sure.

This PSU should have plenty of power for most PC motherboards. The processor chip must be compatible with the motherboard. All PC motherboards have standard powersupply connections, which this PSU supports. The only concern is to make sure that the PSU has enough watts to support all of the PC accessories. Hard Drives, Accessory Cards, motherboard, USB, etc. PSU wattage normally runs from 350W to 1000W. This PSU has 630W and should supply more than enough power for most PC applications. I have 2 fairly robust new PCs and haven't had a problem.

Should be able to handle that setup just fine. Been powering a i7 950 12gig mem 1 64 gig ssd 2 1.5tb HDDs blue ray burner and a gtx 470 for over 2 years now. No issues at all since I bought it.

Short answer: yes.  This power supply provides ample power for that system configuration.  Whoa!  It's on sale!  Yeah, I would totally recommend it!  My setup uses a Radeon 7870 2GB and the Intel i5-3450 and I've had no problems whatsoever!  This psu will also allow you to upgrade your hardware should you so desire.  You could potentially go with lower wattage (400w should be fine) if you are strapped for cash.  Otherwise, THIS your baby!

I just got this PSU and now my computer is randomly shutting off. I have a 660 ti, i3 2120, and 6 gb of ram. Surely 630 w is enough power. Why is it shutting down? But its only when I'm gaming. At first it was only skyrim, now its other games. Like Rising Storm, or Arma 3. Please help.

Sounds like heat problem.  Maybe power supply, maybe cpu?  Gotta pinpoint the problem one by one.  If it was ram or videocard im sure it would be blue screen of death.  Make sure all wires are plug from power supply to motherboard, fans, videocard.  If you got spare parts to switch it would make things easier to find the problem on the hardware side otherwise if not hardware related.  It could be software.

I just recently bought a gaming computer from ibuypower and some of the reviews were saying you would need a bigger power supply to be able to support a larger graphics card. (iBUYPOWER Desktop PC - AMD FX-Series - 4GB DDR3 1TB HDD Capacity - Windows 8.1, 64-Bit - Arc Series - NE611FX) Would this be a compatible upgrade?

I can say for sure that if you're looking to get a nVidia 460+ 560+ 660+, you'll need a least 600W 80 PLUS BRONZE Power Supply.

I have a nVidia 465 OC and use this Power Supply with it. Work great.

Could this PSU handle two evga gtx 560 ti's in SLI? my computer also has 2 sticks of 8gb ram, ssd, hard drive, 990 fx sabertooth asus mobo,

Going by power supply calculator I would say you will need a little bit more headroom considering that you are running sli with the two 560ti cards. The calculator recommends at least 747 Watts, So I would consider http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817517003. It is certified for sli and has a whopping 850 Watts for $7 more. Thats what I would roll with if I was in your situation. Regards

can you plug the power spruce in line with other components like printer etc?

I have this power supply plugged in to a five socket outlet
assembly along with an Asus Monitor and powered dual
speakers.  I do not have a printer plugged in with it but
I don't see a problem there if the socket assembly is 
plugged into a 15 or 20 Amp wall outlet.

In the same room I have a far larger power supply, 
monitor, two printers and two powered speaker assemblies and
other components plugged into another socket assembly and
wall outlet.

I don't use them at the same time but I have never had a problem
using either setup.

For 1 270x yes plenty of power.But if plan on adding another card later it would be better to grab around 850 to 1000w PSU. I run 2 R9 290s with full water cooling full load 24/7 off a 1000watt . I have only reached roughly 800 watts max from the wall and a 270x takes allot less power plus i doubt you will be running it full load 24/7. so your def good.

Yes, but you will not have the flexibility to SLI. These are good power supplies.
