does a light come on when u dispense water?

It seems to be on always when water is dispensing, really convenient at night when I didn't turn on the kitchen light. You might want to call the manufacturer support if it doesn't work.

We already had two of these the last few years (the first one's dispensing button stopped working when we tried to wash the whole dispenser, so you might not want to do that as it would short-circuit some electrical part. It still boils water though, but need to scoop water out manually).

The only problem is sometimes the dispensing flows very slowly. I just opened the top cover while dispensing, and it'll return to normal. Other than that, it works great.

1. How long does it take to heat a tank of water to 98C?
2. Does it dispense hot water instantly or do you have to wait for entire container to heat to desired temperature?
3. How long will it keep water hot?
4. What is power consumption in Watts?

I will try my best to answer your questions:
1. About 10-15 minutes to heat 4 liter of water,depending on the temperature of the water to be boiled.
2. The water can be dispensed at will.  It does not depend on the water temperature.
3. I keep it plugged in the morning for the whole day and pulled it out at night.  The water is very much at the same temperature.  I did not know if a re-boil is required.
4. The spec of the unit is 1500W, ie, when it is being used for boiling.

What is the supported voltage? Does it only support 110V?

I want it also to support 220V.

Yang, if you have a "step down" 220V to 110V converter/transformer adapter, you can use it.

Is the heating element concealed, or submerged in water?

heating element is concealed underneath, you won't be able to see it.  The machine is durable and you won't regret use it especially the inner pot is made of stainless steel.

Does this unit have a built-in timer for on/off operational hours? Or must one plug it in and unplug it every day?

After 2 hours, it gives you a "Health Warning" that you've been inactive for two hours!  Sometimes it starts to count down from 30 seconds, so if you happened to have stepped away, it shuts itself off.  It starts right back up, though!  I actually like the feature for saving energy!

Cut 2 small or one big lemon into piece, put them in the boiler and boil a full tank of water, lease it for 2 to 3 hours. The container will be cleaned and shinny.
