How long is power cord, and what kind i s plug?  I heard it was short and plug is different configuration and takes up 2 outlets in UPS.

mine came with standard interchangeable power cord, disconnects @ either end of power cord. the same type power cord that is plugged into a standard desktop Power Supply Unit or other common device. only takes up 1 outlet in any standard socket. mine is in a (newegg) Rosewill RPS-210BL - 6-Outlet Power Strip. takes just one outlet

I have up grade to 100Mb internet and plan a new router  but have a  4 kb frame  switch 24 port switch.  Would this switch  help improve switch speed with the 10kb frame?

To use jumbo frames you will need to configure the clients to use jumbo frames.  While within your switched network it would improve performance over 4kb, however once hitting the internet your jumbo frames will be split into smaller frames.   You should see a boost in network performance while communicating to other Jumbo frame devices, and possibly even at 4k since this is probably a faster switch than your previous.    I have 2 of these for the 1gb backbone in my house.
