Pros: Most negative reviews I saw were from people who did not realize that this cable MUST be used with USB 3.0. I took my chances and ordered 2. One for a friend who was upgrading her case to a model with no disk drive, and one for my own use. I plugged the cable into a USB 3.0 port and it worked like a charm! As for me, I cannot express how convenient it is to be able to simply plug a cable into your computer and be able to access any laptop hard drive. Would absolutely recommend

Cons: Having said that, this cable will not, in my experience, power full-size desktop drives. So if you need that, look into getting something with additional power not just from the USB.

Overall Review: In conclusion, if you work on a lot, and sometimes need quick access to a laptop or optical drive, or you are just looking to use a laptop drive as an external hard drive, this cable is an amazing deal and an incredibly useful tool that I would definitely recommend

Pros: None

Cons: Purchased the adapter as described being backwards compatible to the USB 2.0. My mistake was not reading the reviews for this product. Attempted to clone a SSD for a laptop and the external drive was not recognized. Product description should be updated to USB 3.0 only so others are not misled.

Overall Review: Does not work with USB 2.0 ports.

Pros: USB to a SSD - freaking awesome

Cons: Could be longer cord but whatever.

Overall Review: I didn't even know these cords existed! I had some docking bay I was going to use and stumbled across this cord. If I had known about it sooner I would have bought one just to have. Cloned a Corsair SSD to a Samsung SSD using Samsung migration software and this cord. Swapped the drives and the angels sung! Loving it!

Cons: Ultra cheapo construction. It was defective and I returned it for refund, but not before it caused me hours of frustration, aggravation and grief. I bought it to use with an SSD, which I bought at the same time to replace the worn out HDD in my laptop. When I plugged the SSD into the laptop using the Rosewill cable, Windows gave a message saying it couldn't recognize the device. I thought the new SSD was the problem, so I returned it and received a replacement SSD. I got the same message again when I plugged the replacement SSD in. So now I'm thinking either there's something wrong with the laptop or the Rosewill cable is defective. So then, I hit on the idea that maybe I could disassemble a Seagate external hard drive I have and use the cable from that. This worked and everything went fine from there on. This Rosewill cable turned a 3 hr job into a 3 week job. Rosewill trash represents everything I've come to expect from anything that has the label "Made in China" on it.

Overall Review: I would recommend that anyone else avoid this product and any other Rosewill product like the plague, regardless of price.

Cons: Does not work as advertised

Overall Review: On Windows 10, gives "USB Device Not Recognized" error message. Checked for newer drivers, none found. Tried with 3 different drives, one of them being an SSD, on a Dell StudioXPS, and all give the same error message.
