Yes. I am using it on an MSI FM2+ mobo and it works much better than the stock cooler and the fan control is cool. You can use an AM2/3/+ cooler on FM1/2/+ motherboards with the normal retention brackets. The stock cooler uses the same retention brackets. Hope this helps.

Is thermal compound preapplied?

Yeah, I'm almost positive it came with it...and also seem to remember removing it :-).  I always end up using a high-quality thermal compound from Arctic Silver or similar to ensure the best cooling can be obtained.

Yes, it comes with thermal paste distributed well along the bottom of the heatsink.

What is the maximum wattage?...looking to use this for a 4350(125W) slim build. Also a 4300(95W) slim build? I would assume its fine for 95, but what about 125?

I have used several different types of cooling for my CPU. When the OEM cooler died, I tried using liquid cooling. At idle my temps stayed above 35 deg. c and under a load they went well above 45 degrees c.

I purchased the Roswell RCX-Z1. My temps way down 26 degrees c at idle and 37 degrees c under a heavy load.

In short I would say that yes it will work well on a 125w.

how do i install this thing? do i need a cpu bracket?

Yes, you need to use the bracket that mounts to the motherboard. There's a square plastic housing on your MB and it should have two tabs on opposite sides of the housing that the bracket clips into. It's a tight fit, so it'll take a little patience and light force. I don't recall if mine came with the bracket or if I reused one that I already had on the board, but one is required to installation.

I'm getting this with the A10 7850k. Will this be a better option than the stock? im looking to be over clocking only the GPU not both only the gpu in the cpu. How will this perform?

No. I'd stick with the stock cooler. Spend another $10 and get the Cooler Master Vortex Plus.

It's much better all the way around. Though I replaced the fan on mine with a Noctua. Mainly to be quieter for a HTPC and so I don't have to worry about it failing anytime soon. The stock fan should last a while though.

Plus the Rosewill fan is not PWM. You have to install a dial and manually adjust the fan speed. The Cooler Master comes with a PWM fan

The Rosewill heat-sink let my 65 watt processor hit 80 degrees C at idle. It's never gone above 50 C even running Prime95 to stress test with the Vortex.

The clip on the Vortex is a little annoying to install, but I can't complain for the price and the fact that it actually fit in my case.

Question 7

Will the motherboard detect this CPU cooler? I don't want my motherboard to send me to BIOS everytime I boot because the CPU Fan isn't connected to it.

Yes, because it works with or without the speed controller. The speed controller is just an added bonus, and one that worked out for me VERY well! I can't say enough good things about this fan and heatsink. Quality made, attractive and easy to install. Also easy to clean.

How can I tell if this will fit my PC?  I have ASUS Essentio CG5275 with an I3 processor.

Hi, Ben. Normally I would say that you need to measure the amount of space around the processor in your computer and compare that to the dimensions of this cooler (the height of the cooler with its fan is probably the most common concern). However, this cooler is designed to fit AMD sockets: it will not work in a system with an intel processor like yours. You will want to find out what kind of socket your computer's processor is sitting in and restrict your search to coolers that fit that socket. Your socket is probably an LGA 1156, but an internet search should help you verify. Best of luck!

It will physically fit it, but there is no way it has the cooling capacity to maintain that CPU within thermal spec. This cooler is rated for a 95 watt max. processor. Your Phenom is a 125 watt processor.  I had difficulties keeping a 95 watt processor cool with this heatsink. I wouldn't use it on anything over 65 watts. For about $10 more you can get the Cooler Master Vortex Plus. Or look at one of the vertical mounted tower coolers if you have the room.

That depends.  I'm guessing you meant the Pegatron M2N78-LA micro-ATX board for I don't see one only that is a **7B-LA version.  It says that that MoBo fits an AM3 slot CPU if one decides to upgrade it.  If you've already installed an AM3 CPU, then this should fit.
