Rosewill RCX-Z4 120mm 2 Ball CPU Cooler

Pros: Well to start, this cooler is one of the best I have worked with. This is my fifth build in eight years and I have never been more pleased with a cooler. Paired this with a E7200 and I have a weak OC at 3.0ghz at the moment. It idles at 31C.

Cons: Only real cons I can think of were the tedious installation. I got this cooler because it came with a bundle with my CPU and I did not want to use the stock cooler. Many people did not give this that great of reviews, so I did not know what to expect going in. It is preconfigured for use with Socket AM2, so you have to switch out the mounting unit for socket 775 (not a big deal though). Only other Con is that it is huge and made connecting the 24 pin power connector to my motherboard a hassel. Then again, I would rather the cooler be huge, so I guess thats not really a con.

Overall Review: My suggestion to you before installing this is to look at your motherboard layout. I made the mistake of mounting and installing the heatsink before mouting the motherboard, which is what some reviews suggested. My recommendation would be to install the mounting for the heatsink onto the motherboard, then mount the motherboard, and finally, screw down the heatsink. One reason I think this cooler got some bad reviews is because the installation needs to be done properly, and I can see why people have some high temps if they did not install it 100% correctly. The cooler is fastened in by 4 thumb screws which may appear tight by screwing them in with your hand. A tool should be used to make them extra tight to ensure that it is flush with the CPU (all 4 screws should be equally tight as well). Also, the thermal paste that came with it looks very cheap. I suggest investing in some better thermal compound. I would buy another though, this cooler is great.

Pros: I switched out CPU fans a couple days ago.. and I have to keep checking to make sure my CPU is on because it's so darn quiet! (With the fan speed controller at halfway, and keeps my CPU at a cool 31 C) I got this coupled with the processor I was going to get, and it ended up costing me only $20!

Cons: Little odd shaped... I like it tho. Took some maneuvering to fit it the way I wanted to, but, its just so darn quiet and beautiful.

Pros: These thing is huge!!! The pictures do not do this monster justice. It's a radiator for your computer. It lowered my temps 12 degrees. I went from 32 degrees idol down to 18 degrees. Under a load it has not went above 30! It has even dropped the system temperature in my whole case!

Cons: This thing is massive. If you have a micro atx board or small case beware. I honestly had no problem fitting this in.

Overall Review: Make sure you have no capacitors around the processor to block the heatsink from clamping down. With the AM2 socket of board there is only two directions that you are able to clamp it down. Either shooting air towards the front or towards the back of the case. I have mine blowing air towards the back, then a case fan is then shooting that air directly out of the case. I also used Arctic Silver 7 as my thermal compound. My build is... Pros: I have an Athlon X2 6000 overclocked to 3.2 Ghz and this thing won't let it go past 39 degress C.

Cons: A bit big for my case, I have to keep my case cracked open all the time.

Overall Review: if size isn't a problem its a great buy and is really nice, just make sure you use the backplate that it came with (may not attach well to standard backplates.)

Pros: Compared to the stock AMD coolers, no wait...that's apples and oranges. This thing utilizes the 2nd law of thermodynamics to the fullest. 3.1 X2 cores stay at 20C during idle and up to 32C during gaming, rendering, etc.

Cons: This can be a beast to mount. I needed to use pliers to fasten the two screws underneath the heatsink/fan. The size of this thing is it's good and bad. Fits well in the Cosmos 1000 case with about 1" to spare. Small case people beware!

Overall Review: Use with Arctic Silver 5!

Pros: GREAT HEATSINK!!! installed easy (see con's) Runs my Q6600 23 c,...it games at 32c ,...that is cool!! My friend who just bought Q6600 confirms that it runs at 45c with stock heatsink. that is a huge reduction of heat. used artic silver, not thermal paste that came with it.

Cons: Little worried when I read the reviews here with regard to ease of installation. Installed easy on my MSI p6n 775. TIP: do not install the motherboard then cpu/heatsink,…heatsink requires to install a mounting plate on back of motherboard.

Pros: It's a great, inexpensive cooler to use. Although this is a rebadge of another brand, but its functionality is still the same. Fan is pretty quiet too without using the extra fan speed adjuster.

Cons: Might be a bit large to fit in smaller cases. The skewed heatpipe design may have some clearance issues.

Overall Review: Read the reviews before buying it and while not a cooler for extreme overclocking, but a decent one nevertheless.

Pros: Keeps my Phenom II X 2 550 at 30c idle offset so you can mount it two diff ways depending on layout of your motherboard price

Overall Review: I consider this the best cpu cooler I have had and I would never have guessed that since it was almost free lol. Temps are lower than my previous Zalman 9500.
