Will this work for a Compaq Presario CPU fan replacement? Don't need heat sink, just fan.

You're probably better off measuring the fan diameter [in approx mm] and finding a similar-sized fan. This one's 80mm; that's a pretty standard size for CPU fans but yours could be 120mm so best to measure first.
