should i use this as side exhaust or intake and how long is the cord?

Caution, this fan will take off some skin if you stick your finger in it. I found that the fan has very good static pressure and very good air flow as exhaust, though it is loud when you hit around 1600 rpm, i would suggest a low noise adapter, and the cord isnt long but its will work if you have a mid tower

Does anyone know the static pressure of this fan? Trying to make a silent gaming rig, this one is relatively loud, but moves a LOT of air...

I'm using an NZXT 6 fan controller, on low it moves air still but almost dead silent, when im gaming i either have my headphones on anyway so i crank up my cpu gpu n case fans to max

I simply don't understand. In every listings for computer case fans, you don't list power requirement, which is a big part of deciding which one to buy. Who is to say that people are just buying these case fans for just use with computer. Please, do tell me what the power requirement is for this fan like wattage, voltage, Amphere, etc?

Case fans are usually 12V.  This particular one says 12V/0.4A on the label.

Will this fit in Rosewill Stealth?

First off, great choice in cases! I may use that one on a future build myself. I'm a huge supporter of good air-flow in a case, where water-cooling can't be an option.

The Rosewill Stealth looks to be built for the 120mm fan. According to the specs, the Stealth can accommodate up to five fans (two fans at the front, two on top, and one in back). There are four pre-installed, so a fifth one on the top should fit easily.

Does your dell XPS have a 120mm fan that's 25mm thick with a three or 4 pin connector? If so, yes. All of these specs can be found on the label on your old fan.

I was reading through the reviews and a customer was complaining that these particular (sleeve bearing) fans are inadequate for horizontal mounting.  What type ARE good for horizontal mounting?

I installed 2 of these in 2 different computers over 2 years ago and haven't had any problems so far. They are quiet and move a fair amount of air. They are both mounted horizontally.

There's very little difference anymore whether a fan uses sleeve or ball bearing and which way they are mounted. Neither has 'thrust bearings', which would help if mounting them horizontally. Lubrication and sealing are the two big factors in fan longevity, neither of which you have much choice with.

With sleeve bearing fans, it's easy to open them up and relube them when they start to slow down or make noise. With ball bearing fans, once you start to hear noise, it's usually the bearing going bad, not just out of lube, making repairs impossible. And neither outlasts the other.

I'm hoping this is a joke. But if not, plug it into a computer and plug the computer into a wall. Because otherwise you're aiming to burn your house down. Because if you had the electrical knowledge to do this safely, you wouldn't be asking this at all.
