In a standard desktop tower PCI slot, does the fan intake only pull from the top down into the fan?

I want the heat that is rising off of my video card to be pulled into this PCI fan so it should have an intake on the bottom.

The bracket can be removed and reversed so that it will work the way you want.

Low profile or standard? Anybody know of a low profile PCI fan?

imo its low pro. its single slot tall.  i got it in a compaq sff tower to cool my soundcard and they're both on a 90 deg. 2-slot pci riser card. installed they sit parallel to the mb and right over the p/s. there isn't a 1/4'' of room to spare anywhere and my total working height off the mb isn't even 2''.

It this a 5 volt fan?

mod to my previous reply: if the 5 volt is for fan speed-control it may have that capability. mine came w/ a little wired-up rheostat. i don't use it, i need to run it flat-out in my application.

Question 4

Does anyone know what kind of amperage this draws?  I'm going to use it outside of a case and want to drive it off of a powered USB connection (so I'm looking for >1Amp).

I have this fan but don't know the current draw. Otherwise, it has been a good fan.
