Any solution yet to the touchy intermittent on-off switch?

Hello,
 I've had the same issue with this flashlight. What happened to mine was the battery connection was not true. When I turned on my flashlight it would not go on. I fidgeted around with the end caps and that helped keep my flashlight burning. There seems to be a problem with the connection on the end caps to the D cell batteries. If I use a high quality D cell battery that may correct the issue I'm having. Right now I'm using low end batteries and they move around so I know the connection is not true. Seems the higher quality batteries are a fraction larger in size so the y won't rattle around in the flashlight. But when I do bet the flashlight to burn it is Very Bright. I am very glad to have such a great light. I hope this helps answer your question.

I presently own four of these flashlights and they all function very well.  I have not found the on/off switch on any of the flashlights to be irksome or distracting.  The switch might be slightly more sensitive in comparison to other harder to operate flashlight switches, but I don't find that troubling.  I would buy again.
