Question 1

Does the charger cut off automatically so you don't over charge the battery?   Can I leave it plugged in charge mode all of the time so I do not have to worry about dead/drained battery?

I can only guess, I have been keeping mine in the garage and use as needed.  When it runs down, I just change the battery with the spare I got when I got, either this one or a different one.   I have a separate charger that I keep the spare battery plugged into all the time.   There is always a red light on that charger, but doesn't seem to cause a problem w/over charging or burning the battery up.  I also have one of these in my truck, and hasn't seen a charger in over 6 months and is still bright in operation.  Charging doesn't take that long either, so I would suggest charging until full charge is indicated, put it where you what to have it handy, use until it goes dead, recharge, etc., etc.

Question 2

Can it use aaa or aa batteries if needed?

This light is for use with the Li Ion 18650 (rechargeable) battery only.  It comes with a good quality battery and a charger that plugs into the body of the light   It will run about 1 1/2 -- 2 hrs on a charge on high.  Extra batteries (buying 1 or 2 is a good decision) can be done thru Newegg at a very reasonable cost via an affiliate.  Also the special charger for Li Ion batteries can be obtained cheaply so the battery can be removed and charged externally.
    It is an excellent flashlight overall.

Question 3

Does the flashlight remember the last setting?
E.g. if you switch it off when it's on HIGH and then switch it on again, it is on HIGH again, or you need to click like 5 times to have it on the HIGH setting?

There seems to be a built in timer. After being off for a several seconds, if you click it once it will turn on with the bright setting. If you turn it off then quickly turn it back on, then it will turn on the dim setting, etc.

If you want it on high and don't want to wait the few seconds to timeout to the high-setting default, then just quickly click through the various settings.

That said, it would be handy to a have a dedicated "high" button and an "auxiliary" button for the various options.

Please note that everyone I've shown it to wants one! One very handy feature that I didn't discover until after the purchase is that if  a charger isn't available at the moment, you can use standard AAA batteries in the meantime.

This has now become my general use and backpacking flashlight of choice!

Question 4

Does the red charging indicator light turn green when the flashlight is fully charged? How long does a full charge take?

For the life of me I can't remember if the light changes color as I usually just plug it in after use and if dead I leave it plugged in for 3-4 hours and I know it's done. I keep one spare batter for it and another flashlight so if I need it then I always have one.
I know 3 hours for sure gives a charge. btw these Rosewill flashlights are my absolute favorite ones.
