My current PC has USB 2.0 interface - will this work or what has to happen?

USB 3 is the new specification and is backward compatible.  The wireless adapter has the ability of exceeding the USB 2.0 speed of 400 mbps but this may only be a concern if you internal network runs at Gb speed.  Otherwise you will run as fast as your slowest device e.g. Internet --- 1 to 20 mbps

Can other devices connect to it after its set up to a PC. And whats the range (how far it can pick up signals from) compared to alpha adapter in the same class?

I can answer the first question with a yes.  I bought this adapter for my wife's laptop and all of our computers and our printer work together on the network.

As far as the range goes, I can only tell you that her laptop sits about 15 feet from my computer, with one wall between us.

We is a Linksys AC1900 router, and all communicate without a glitch.

Question 3

Does this work with linux?  What is the Chipset?  Does it work with a 3.x kernel if linux is supported and do I have to compile it?

The manufacturer has Linux listed under System Requirements so that would lead me to believe that it would work.  Their documentation also makes mention of Ubuntu specifically and there are linux drivers on the CD.  I believe it uses the realtek RTL8812AU chipset.

will this work with a standard Ieee802. or is it better to buy the card from you and install it into the mother board?????

If you're asking if it will work on a PC compatible computer, the answer is yes.  The description shows that it works on 802 a/b/g/n.
