How did you mount this in the drive bracket? My spot for this only has holes for the bottom, and this drive only has holes on the side.

my computer case has a slot for old floppy disk drive, so it is perfectly fit with this memory card reader.  In your case, I think you should look for a bracket for this reader, or build your own bracket.

No, this only reads flash memory cards and USB flash drives.  It does not read any kind of floppy disk or magnetic media.

You Have to connect the USB connector on this Hardware to your Motherboard as long as you have 1 available to connect too. Also you have to connect A floppy Cable to motherboard And connect A floppy power connector on it from your powersupply

As long as you have a on board USB 2.0 Pins on your motherboard. it should work. USB should detect that it is connected and load the correct drivers.

Does this card reader work on ATA flash card Type 1 used in Janome embroidery sewing machines?

I'm not 100% sure if I have any Type I cards. From my understanding Type 1 are 3.3mm thick and Type 2 are 5mm thick.  I don't use CF cards anymore but I broke out the cards I still have and tried them all.  The reader could not read my 4MB Kodak and my 8MB Kodak cards.  It could read my 16MB Lexar, 64MB PNY, and 512MB PNY cards.  All of my cards are the same thickness and I don't have a way of measuring mm thickness to check. Seems like I recall having trouble reading the 4/8MB cards before though. I think they both came with the Kodak camera's that I had. The camera's could read'em but this and other card reader could not. Hope this helps...

How many pins are on the connector? my Lenovo thinkcentre has 11 pin usb.

I just opened a PC that I have installed this item on pulled the connector and confirmed this equipment has a 9 pin connector. This plugs into a standard 9 pin USP port located on the motherboard.

Will this handle a 4 GB compact flash card and a 2 GB SD card?

You can put as many drives as you want into this. It mostly just acts as a USB hub
