Question 1

2 ???..1-is it compatable with windows 8??...and does it provide good audio with the full frequency range...my laptop sound card sounds awful..like it's coming from a megaphone...instead of getting a new internal sound card I'd rather get it external...any suggestions??..thanks..joe

I use it in a computer lab situation with K-5 students. It is good for the games and videos they use for their lessons. It works with xp but we are not windows 8. I do not see any reason it should not work since it requires no software, just an adjustment on your system telling it to use a usb device.

They get a workout with the constant use. We have 600 children using them weekly.  It takes about a year before they need replacement.

also is there an 1/8" input for stereo cable..its' not clear on the picture...?

I have not opened my package, but I would say it does NOT have that, since it seems to be exclusively for data transfer so would not need that. If you were trying to use it for a music or video CD, I would say you would need to copy that disk contents (disk image) to your harddrive then play it from there via software. Others may know more than I, this is just a suggestion.

I dont' know if it is compatible with you unit you referenced.  I used it on a Lenovo and it worked great.  I got a new computer and gave it to a friend who loves it still.  I don't know what he's using it on though.  for the price, it is worth taking a chance.
