Hello there. the adapter enables the user to take the micro-SD card/chip and enhance it's versatility to be used where only standard-sized SD cards are accepted, such as in laptops or other devices that only accept the larger sized unit. It makes it so small electronics such as cell phones, digital cameras, and MP3 players can access the data saved on the little chip and makes it larger and more user-friendly in handling something that is then easier to manipulate. Plus, only some devices only accept and read from the larger format SD card. Improves versatility is really all. Hope that helped. Not all SD cards are the same but that is another story.

The S7's have (or have previously had, if it's now fixed) SD card problems.   Just recently they did an S7 OS update correcting this strange AS card read issue and so far no SD card read errors.   However,  in the past I lost access to two different Samsung microSDHC cards in my S7.  If Samsung SD cards are still having issues,  I'm not sure what other SD card to recommend.

Yes I installed this 32GB micro SD in my Galaxy S5 and it has worked without an issue since May 2014.  I believe the S5 can accept up to a 128GB micro SD card, but you may want to verify on the Samsung site.  Hope this helps.

Yes, it would. That device has expansion slots that accept micro-SD chips. Removing them and placing them into the adaptor makes it easier to handle and read/write to on bigger machines like laptops that accept the larger format.

The card should fit and is compatible with the LG/TMobile MyTouch Slide but make sure your phone can take the 32gb capacity else you will have a lot of storage capacity that you won't be able to access/use.  I hope this helps.

The Samsung micro SD card lists a transfer rate of 48MB other manufacturers list separate read/write speeds. How does transfer rate relate to read/write speed?

Read and write speeds are not directly related; you can't accurately predict one from the other.
I ran CrystalDiskMark 5.2.0 x64 on it and got the following speeds:

READ, 1GB data:
Sequential: 46.51 MB/s
4KiB blocks, random: 6.87 MB/s

WRITE, 1GB data:
Sequential: 26.45 MB/s
4KiB blocks, random: 2.69 MB/s

Speed is marked as U1 --  so it is rated faster than Class 10 ??

According to SanDisk (which owns the trademark for SDcard): Yes, it is capable of transferring faster than a Class 10.
