No. This included no cable. I believe in included a cd of the Samsung software to help with that process, but the only hardware in my case was the drive itself.

Was able to use this on my Dell Laptop with M.2 card.  Had issues with the first one which was defective but the replacement unit recognized the card right away and quickly installed with the Samsung Software.

Yes this will work in your motherboard, however when installed it will disable your SATA 4/5 ports. Also this is a SATA based drive which gives no performance advantage over a traditional 2.5" drive. They do look a lot cleaner though because there are no cables.

Can this replace storage in MacBook Pro mid 2014 13" SSD? Running out of space for development.

You would need an adapter. This is also SATA based and I believe the 2014 Macbook Pros use PCIe only SSDs. I just made the mistake myself right now trying to put a PCIe based M-Key Intel 512gb 600p Series in my 2012 Macbook Air using an adapter and that I just found out was B-Key and SATA based. The B-Key and M-Key only drives are extremely similar appearance wise and only difference is a single contact pin.Enter an answer to this question.

no,  the drive you have has a SATA connection, this requires a m.2 connection to the motherboard. If your motherboard has an m.2 port then yes.

Is this compatible with MSI's GT72 6QD? MSI's specs have been confusing in the past. Want additional confirmation before I order.

It will work, although the SSD that it comes with is an NVMe M.2. NVMe is faster than standard SATAIII. In your case (providing budget allows) I would recommend the Samsung 950 PRO.
