I don't know what mac you have but my 2008 mac pro uses IDE Drives so as long as you have SATA connectors you will be fine it will work

check your mobo connecters. Im not sure if any Emachine's came with SATA capability. Everything else would be fine, perhaps a driver install at the very worse. The connector could be an issue... Hope I helped
