Can someone please tell me the height of the monitor when it is at it's lowest point? I need to fit a few onto a shelf that is only 14 inches high. Thanks.

It is over 16 inches at lowest setting.

I suggest you consider a non-adjustable model  If the space is as tight as you describe you are spending extra money for an adjustable monitor that you can't take advantage of.  Also, if you can wall mount the monitor you can get a bigger screen into the small space as you eliminate the base altogether.

Question 2

Is this monitor wall mountable?  The specs say 'yes' the rep on the phone just said 'no.'

Yes but you need a bracket. It takes a 100x100mm VESA mount. Any mount that has that size and type bracket on the monitor end should work.

I installed a positionable arm mount onto my parents desk when I set them up with this monitor, and it had a 100x100mm vesa mount.

That vesa standard is just a square 100mm by 100mm with a screw at each corner, and is on the back of many monitors.

Does his monitor hve  RGB ld backlite?

Unfortunately, I don't know what that means or how to check for it! I am enjoying using this screen very much though. Sorry that I couldn't be of more help.
