What is this black light bleed I'm seeing in the reviews?

Back light bleed is when the light is not evenly spread across the screen, certain areas might be lit more than others and it can give a blotchy appearance. I'm not having that issue with this monitor, but I'm unhappy with for another reason. The pixels look way too jagged, which I guess is an issue related to pixel density. I would not recommend this monitor to anyone.

Question 2

Where do I find a user manual of this monitor for MAC's? Unfortunately, the monitor came with a CD for PC's but not MAC's. I need to adjust the brightness and color of the monitor and there are no buttons on this one to do it manually.  Thank you.

The buttons are on the lower right corner of the front. They are capacitive in nature instead of a full on physical button. Where it says "menu" you would place a finger over that word on the monitor to access the menu. The other buttons are all the same way. The power button as well.

is this compatible with my macbook air?

Not being an Apple guy I can't answer specifically, but I can tell you it can run either VGA or HDMI out. I use the HDMI for my Lenovo laptop and very pleased with the monitor. There are no built in speakers (i run audio through my laptop speakers) and although it comes with a VGA cable, it does not come with an HDMI cable. You'll need to use one of your own.

can I replace the screen I cracked mine?

I'm not certain that you can replace the screen. If the part is available, would the cost be worth it as opposed to just buying a new monitor entirely? I personally would recommend just replacing the monitor entirely.
