What video card is recommended for this monitor?

Really depends what you want to do with it - Read this review and it helped me decide what video :

Overall this monitor is very good, i mainly use it for gaming purposes, but of course everything else on my pc.

I have 2xgtx680 video cards, and that is what i would recommend is needed, at least gtx670 sli, to run at 2560x1440
with graphics set to high/ultra, and maintain a smooth 60fps.

The refresh rate is amazing, i guess its the PLS technology that really makes it look almost like there is no ghosting or blur on moving objects, there is some but it is probably the best refresh rate i have ever seen on an LED monitor.

Question 2

Is this monitor as bad as the one review written?  Looking to buy it seems to be the only 27" samsung monitor with higher then 1900 resolution.  if anyone has any other suggestions please let me know or if you think this monitor is good please state that as well thanks

I purchased this monitor in December and found it to be a very good product. I have no back light bleed or dead pixels. The monitor has a full featured OSD that is easily adjusted and performs exceedingly well when gaming with the appropriate video card. The matte screen eliminates glare. Since the only difference between this monitor and the S27A850D is USB2 vs USB3, I think this is a very good value at the Newegg price. I tried a Monoprice monitor at the same resolution and returned it due to excessive back light bleed. There are cheaper monitors available, but without the 3 year warranty and Samsung backing. Give the monitor a try, I think you will like it.
