How do you "daisy chain" these if there's only one USB-C? One port has to connect to the source (laptop in my case), but that doesn't leave any port as an "out" to the next monitor. What am I missing?

Between the first and second monitor use a DisplayPort to DisplayPort cable. Once plugged in there is a menu option to select the MST or SST source.

How many watts does the usb-c charge at?

I am not sure of the wattage but I have tested the following hardware to confirm that they charge. 2017 MacBook Pro 15" with TouchBar (MST/Daisy Chaining does not work while in macOS) Lenovo T480s (MST/Daisy Chaining does work) Lenovo T470s (MST/Daisy Chaining does work) Lenovo X380 Yoga (MST/Daisy Chaining does work)
