Question 1

I'm seeing a lot of negativity regarding blurry/fuzzy text, yet some have said it's been cleared up via some settings.  How did you fix this issue?  Is it relatively easy to do and does it REALLY fix the blurry/fuzzy text?  I'm 2 seconds from buying one of these but the holdup is the alleged blurry text issue.

Buy it. The thing doesn't have blurry text. Some people make funky changes that does this, but you have to try to make it weird. Put it this way: If you've never found yourself wondering why your car won't go after pouring a jug of oil in the gas tank then your fine.

Question 2

Can I use it and plug it to my laptop if I don't have a HDMI entry on my laptop??

Not without an adapter cord.  You would need something like a DVI to HDMI converter (assuming that you have a DVI port).  I would be certain that you can live with the resolution before you buy this monitor as it is fuzzy at best.

Could some owner of this monitor please provide me with the dimensions of the actual screen display in width & height, i.e., the actual viewing area of the screen (not including the bezels of course)? Thank you.

My screen 27 1/2 inches wide and 15 inched high.  I would expect all of this monitor to be this size.  :-)

Personally I wish I had done this a couple of years ago!  Works great for me.

Question 4

Would appreciate learning the ACTUAL screen size of this monitor in height & width, NOT INCLUDING THE BEZELS?

I've been looking for a 30" - 32" monitor with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 since I'm a senior and my aged eyes have difficulty with the much higher resolutions generally found on those size monitors. While I understand one can reduce the resolution it's best to work with the monitor's native resolution since there's invariably a loss of clarity (sharpness) when the native resolution is changed.

I returned mine so I cannot help you with the actual screen size however I can say that the issue for me was that the size of the screen coupled with the low native resolution made letters blurry and lines unclear, the size was good but sharpness suffered, like building a mosaic using large square tiles it makes curves difficult to define. The glare that is caught from everywhere due to the curved screen makes it even worse, it's a satellite dish for light that collects and redirects it to your eyes. I have been building machines for years and am used to very high end machines so it may not be as noticeable to some but it physically made my eyes hurt. The size alone would have been fine, it's the loss of clarity that hurts.

Im a disabled Veteran so I have a few accessibility issues of my own but it is worth mentioning that there are a lot of options to help make text larger in windows as well as most browsers with the quick keys (CTRL +/-) to increase or decrease size. This would be the best option for clarity as the higher resolution would give clean sharp lines and curves to larger letters however I understand this has it's limits and not all elements can be enlarged. I would recommend a screen of 27" to 29" with the native at 1920x1080 as a medium point. I know it's not the info you requested but hopefully it helps while you wait for someone else to more accurately answer your question.

Is this monitors' screen non-reflective or does it reflect a lot of light?

I had an issue with reflection, the curve makes this a much more prominent issue. I had to return it because it catches glare from everywhere and the resolution is far too low for this size screen. I'm not picky at all but I got a headache in less than 2 minutes. Everything is blocky and fuzzy and I have a lot of money in this machine but all the csaa or fxaa in the world won't help. I didn't even bother firing up a game, the desktop alone was illegible. I never thought it would be as near as bad as it was.

Question 6

Is this meant to be a computer monitor or is it for watching movies?  It make a difference.  How does it do with rendering text for reading documents?

It is indeed a computer monitor, however movies look great on this screen.  The amount of real estate is amazing compaired to the 27in Samsung I replaced.

Text ccould be a bit clearer, but not a real deal buster for me considering the ability to see everything so much better.

Overall I would buy this monitor again without hesitation.

One major consideration, you need a current generation video card to push this monitor.  I had to replace my GTX 760 with a 980.  The 760 could not handle it and would go to grass within a few minutes.

How is this monitor perform in FPS games? Or compare to g-sync?

It literally has no synch capabilities at all, and is a fixed frequency monitor at 60hz and only 60hz, despite synching frames to gpu vertical redraw being used in laptops for over a decade. In ALL fps games you will be limited to a "DVD" 16:9 aspect ratio, which means you wont see around corners before your enemy with a 21:9 monitor sees you, etc. Also, with no synch at all, EVERY SINGLE FRAME that is not an exact replica of the previous one will "tear", with the obviousness (and consequent fatigue and agitation) increasing exponentially the faster you rotate your point of view. Also, expect BIG pixels,and, since its a VA panel and not an IPS panel, its probably a BGR subpixel alignment and not RGB, so if you have this as center monitor in a three monitor SurroundView setup, the two peripheral monitors of usually smaller size will likely be the correct "traditional" RGB. As such, anything that is not a game or movie (like almost the entire readable internet) will only be clear on the monitor that you calibrate cleartype on (which would hopefully be the larger, center monitor [the one in this review]), and the two side monitors will be subpixel antialiased in the opposite direction, making reading text on them (assuming an implementation of cleartype (subpixel antialiasing) is used) not only painfully hard, but literally brain-exhausting. Then there's the price; What in the world makes this monitor worth the asking price besides a tiny, *tiny* application-specific minority of buyers (like people with less than perfect vision who could buy a MUCH larger "TV" from LG for the same price and get not only a monitor, but an atsc and clearQAM tuner, usb photo viewer, video player, decent integrated audio amplifier with stereo speakers covering a typical frequency range of about 110hz to 16khz before any room gain, not to mention a remote and 1:1 pixel mapping, zero post processing (no inpute lag mode "pc" mode on lg HDTVs);
