is it compatible with Mac ?

Yes, it comes with and there are a full line of drivers and software packages for Mac OS.  The airport function on iPhone, wireless phone to print had some issues with an update to 8 and required a firmware update but I would think all units shipping now most likely have that firmware update applied already.  Otherwise standard non-phone printing is fully supported.  I have owned the unit since April and it is great.  Just like a large enterprise unit and excellent quality.  Does pretty good on toner too.  I do not print much but when I do its typically about 100 pages at a time.  I am still over 50% on all toner for over 6 months usage now.

Question 2

What wireless security settings can this printer handle? I had a printer in the past that couldn't handle any security above basic WEP. Can this one handle WPA2 for instance?

According to the user manual (page 162) the printer can use WEP, WPA, or WPA2. I have not had any trouble getting a connection with wireless, however I try to never use the wireless capabilities of any printer and instead I connect them to my wireless router or network switch with ethernet(cat5) cable and then assign a static IP address to the printer. It makes troubleshooting connectivity issues many times easier. It is still visible to all wireless devices that are connected to your network. Hope this helps.

Question 3

If one toner cartridge runs low/out; will this postpone all printing until replaced? For example, if a color cartridge runs out, can you still print with black-only?

If one cartridge is low, the printer will still print, but if any cartridge is empty printing is not possible. This is the case with all color laser printers that I am aware of.
