Pros: For the questioner below, the monitor is capable of displaying any resolution over DVI or D-Sub. It will even display 16:9 resolutions, but will stretch to 16:10, which looks atrocious. Keep all resolutions at either 4:3 or 16:10 and you're golden. First, the main reason you're buying this monitor - the multiple input options. I have not tested the component input, but all the other inputs, including Digital HDTV tuner, works very well. TF2 looks good, even with a 1280x800 resolution. The PS3 looks gorgeous on 1080P. Digital channels in 1080i and 720p looks very good. The scaler on this monitor gives you a lot of options (16:9, 16:10, 4:3) for all inputs. (DVI only has 16:10 or 4:3, but why would you need anything else?) This was a major concern for me before purchasing, but I'm glad it can display most resolutions. Off-axis viewing is better than expected, but I wasn't expecting much. There wasn't much color tuning to do out of the box.

Cons: Off-resolution scaling is just okay. There's a good amount of backlight bleed at the top and bottom of the display. This monitor definitely isn't for serious users or experts, but the colors will look great for anyone else. No height adjustment, only backwards tilt, which is almost useless with a monitor this size. Off-axis viewing is okay. The horizontal viewing is actually pretty good, but the vertical off-axis is bad- it's definitely a TN panel. It's not terrible, though. There's noticeable dimming at the top and lower right corners of the display - mine might be defective in this way. I can live with it, though. Touch-sensitive power button is an annoyance. You'll have to get used to the way it detects your input. The side-mounted panel buttons makes the remote absolutely necessary for any respectable tuning. The display is prone to wobbling - the pivot on the monitor should have been better designed for stability. No VESA mounting

Overall Review: This monitor can pass DDL through the optical port in the back. The monitor's speakers are okay, for TV speakers. You can't really notice the "touch of color". The piano black finish still looks nice. The screen is anti-glare, not glossy, for those who are wondering. I'd buy this again - it's more than enough for me, let alone your average user.

Cons: Poor Vertical Viewing Angles (anything below horizontal results in severely distorted color and brightness, above horizontal stays clean for about 45 degrees then begins distortion as well) Mediocre Speaker Quality (two 3Watt speakers don't encapsulate a completely full sound, the bass is lacking so the treble stands out) Cannot Tilt Downward Past 90 degree Vertical (not really an issue unless it will sit high and you will be viewing it from below...if this is the case, this monitor/tv isn't highly recommended) No Vertical Height Adjustment (screen can be tilted, but not raised or lowered) Not Wall Mountable (as clearly advertised) NOTE: Initial Resolution Display (this monitor/tv starts out displaying things in 1920x1200 resolution, which distorts images, but a simple adjustment in the menu can easily fix it with no future issues)

Overall Review: I use this as both my monitor and television. The ability to switch between my computer, my Playstation 3, and broadcast television with the press of a button is truly remarkable. For the price I paid ($430 + free shipping) a year ago it was a spectacular deal, but with the price now it's even better! With easy to follow software (menu controls) anyone can go from in-box to fully functional television in under 10 minutes. I have had no issues with dead pixels, pixel striping, or pixel boxes. I have run it on average about 6 hours a day every day for the last year (so that's about 2200 total hours that I have had it on) and haven't had a single issue with it. I would highly recommend it as monitor, but it makes an even better tv. Because of the built-in DTV tuner, easy-to-use menu, and the capability to display true 1080p images, it would seem kind of a waste to only use it as a monitor for your computer. Either way you choose, I guarantee you will be pleased with the T240HD.

Pros: Two months ago I was on the fence between the T220HD and the T240HD. Newegg offered free shipping and a good price on the T220HD so I bought it…and I am HAPPY. Then, about 2 weeks later, they reduced the price and offered free shipping on the T240HD. I was so happy with the T220HD that I purchased the larger unit for our other computer system. I can not say enough about the brightness and contrast. I am a long-time and firm believer in CRT’s as I often change resolution from CAD projects to normal MS-Office apps, and also watch TV and DVD’s. The first thing I noticed is that when watching a DVD, the image was not dark. as it had been on my CRT (a high-end CAD unit). The Bonus is the extra inputs! I now have my wii attached and also can watch TV without going through the computer!

Cons: As with all LCD’s, there is a native resolution (in this case 1920x1200) and if you do not use this resolution, some text can appear out-of-focus. The good news is that this monitor is so big, that it is not a huge issue (I now run on 1920x1200 for all apps, although sometimes text is small)

Overall Review: I read many reviews before purchase and have the following comments: 1) I initially agreed that the base was not as stable as I would like, but then I learned I made a mistake in set-up. When my T240HD arrived, I started to assemble it just as I had the T220HD, then I noticed a locking screw in the base. I checked this against my T220HD and noticed the same locking screw that I had not secured. Once I secured the locking screw, both monitors were/are rock-solid on there mounts. 2) The other complaint I noticed (low egg review) is people trying to mount this unit on a wall. In my opinion, this is not a valid complaint. This product was designed as a computer monitor (with the addition of a TV tuner), not a TV that can be used as a monitor! If you compare the resolution of the two units I purchased to any LCD TV, you will find that it is MUCH higher in this size range. Pros: Spent months looking for best value monitor and I ended up buying this one. If you are in this situation that I was (looking for perfect monitor) then I would recommend this one. Got everything you need, 2 HDMI ports (which I play my PS3 on and looks awesome!), TV tuner, speakers and the 1080P resolution! I recommend waiting till the weekend if you want to buy it as they have had a weekend special on it before that saved me $20.

Cons: I don't want to say too much here because there are not any real cons. if I wanted to get picky it would be the non-existent height adjustment but that doesn't worry me too much. The PIP (picture in picture) option would've been nice too but unfortunately does not come with this model.

Overall Review: If you are still considering not getting it because of the price - I would say then just wait a week or two because I was looking for a monitor for around $400 but am glad I spent the extra bit because you get a lot more for what the extra cost.

Pros: Picked this up as a replacement for my 21" Sony Trinatron (Awesome monitor but getting too hard on my aging eyes at higher resolutions) and really love the new screen. My primary concern about switching to an LCD was ghosting and monitor lag in games. I am happy to say that I did not notice any while playing TF2, Guild Wars and Civ4. While they did ship the monitor in the same box, it was packaged very nicely to prevent any damage. Monitor came with 0 dead pixels and has a great screen. It is very big and looks great. Has alot of options for adjustment. Tuning the Cable/OTA channels was pretty quick (about 1.5 minutes for 97 channels). No joking about this monitor being pretty to look at. Clear plastic edge surrounds the entire montior and if you place a light behind it, you get a very cool framing effect that doesn't detract from your viewing.

Cons: Wouldn't tune in the HDTV channels on Comcast (not really a fault of the monitor). Changing from 4:3 to 16:10 will take time getting used t o. Speakers are just adequate for little stuff. Most people already have a dedicated set of speakers to use anyways so I'm not going to knock this monitor for it. Included every cable BUT an HDMI. Not a big thing but would have been icing on the cake. Monitor is too thin for my cats to sit on. My cats loved sitting on the Sony since it was a nice warm spot. Now they have to go back to the DVR!!!

Overall Review: For those who complained about the red light by the power button, you have several options in the menu for adjusting it including turning it off and adjusting the brightness. Anybody who is thinking about a 24" LCD, you can't go wrong with this monitor.

Pros: This computer display is capable of anything you want to do. Perfect for a computer display, XBOX 360, PS3, and whatever else you attach to it. It offers "scan only" options so that you see it exactly how you want to with no stretching of the image unless you tell it to. Excellent color and no blurring detected. Also great for over-the-air HD television viewing, all done by the set itself with no additional hardware other than a good antenna.

Cons: The viewing angles of this set is rather poor. You have to be front and center of the display for perfect brightness. If you're looking down at the screen, the brightness is overbearing... if looking up, the image is really dark.

Overall Review: I wish they offered the same package in a 30 inch display. Hopefully, they'll release a newer version solving the brightness issue when looking downward or upward towards the screen at 45º angles.

Pros: I purchased this monitor primarily as a computer display and to play my 360 and ps3. In these regards, this monitor has far exceeded my expectations! The colors are vibrant and movies look amazing. I typed up a paper and the text is crisp and easy to read. For gaming I have a 360, ps3 and ps2 hooked up through the component inputs. I played Gears 2, COD4 and MGS4 extensively and I'm happy to see that there's no noticeable ghosting or artifacts. I havn't used the TV tuner much, but it did pick up my local channels and HD looks GREAT! I'm not one to call electronics beautiful, but this monitor is definately sleek. I have two bright lights in my room and I havn't noticed any annoying reflections from the bezel so that's a plus. Finally, there were no dead pixels so good stuff! Overall, going from my 17inch Viewsonic, this monitor is a dream come true.

Cons: Like other reviewers have said, the stand doesn't click in and the monitor can wobble if you touch it, however, this hasn't really caused me any problems. As a TV this monitor is superb, but its really a shame it doesn't have any VESA mounts out of the box (you CAN get a VESA mount bracket for this monitor though, look below!). The built-in speakers are a little on the weak side, but I have the monitor hooked up to my own speakers so it doesn't matter much.

Overall Review: Newegg's shipping is awesome just like always! A lot of the reviews say that there's no way to VESA mount this monitor, but that is false! Samsung makes a wall mount bracket for these although it's not listed on the site. Look for part number WMB2400T. I don't have this myself but according to other people, it slides in where the stand usually is and works very well.

Pros: I have never felt so speechless like this time. Within my mind, there are millions of beautiful words wanting to express fully, but yet I could not find one that would best describe how amazing this T240HD is. This is coming from a 52' samsung owner who uses ps3, blu-ray(ps3 also), wii, custom built desktop, and latitude xt to connect to the 52' samsung. My experience with the 52' samsung was great when it comes to media, but when it comes to pc using, it is definitely not as great as the T240HD. I read tons and tons of reviews before making my purchase on this one. And I can certainly tell you this, the cons about this samsung don't even come close at all to the pros of this T240HD.

Cons: People complain about the brightness, but there is a setting where you could go to internet or text mode in which there is less brightness or you could randomly adjust the brightness yourself, so I don't see how that is a con at all unless you cannot adjust or do something about it. Other cons are not worth mentioning. I basically use this T240HD for everything I could think of and am enjoying a lot more than my 52' samsung.

Overall Review: Don't hesiate to buy it, because I promise you will not regret. If you do, call me up, I will buy it off from you for full price xD. P.S. I did many many researches on everything I buy, so when I actually say buy it, oh trust me, you won't regret ;]
