Have you tried dropping the Update files to the root of the drive and making sure they are in the format that Playstation reads?

Fastest way is to use a USB Flash Drive. Insert the USB Drive, the folder should automatically open, you can drag and drop the images into the folder or you can copy the entire folder onto the USB Flash Drive (if it has enough space). Alternative methods: 1.If both your device has a CD/DVD Burner you  can burn the images to a CD or DVD. 2. You can place the images onto your Cloud Account and log into the account on the New Device, if you do not have Cloud space or Need Additional Cloud Space dropbox offers FREE Cloud storage to a certain amount. :)
