Does this flash drive have an activity light?

This flash drive has a small blue rectangular activity light next to the thumb switch and above the acronym "USB".

Question 2

Does this show up in windows as a "removable media" drive or as a "fixed disk"?  My 32GB version of the Sandisk Extreme mounts as a fixed disk ("local disk") and I want to buy some 16 GB's with the same capability.

When I bought mine a year ago, it showed up a non-removable device. It can still be removed safely via the system tray icon for removable devices. The only issue it has caused for me is that it doesn't work well as a boot device on older PCs.
