is this usb-3 compatible with windows vista business? It works on all my macs / pcs except the pc running windows vista business

It works for Windows 19 Pro. I cannot understand why it would not work for Windows Vista Business.

Do this drive encryption?

Encryption is not built-in to most flash drives. This one requires external encryption software of which there are many programs available. Recommend you go online and research flash drive encryption.
