Pros: Physical size - this thing is very compact. Ultimately this is a storage device with no moving parts and it either works or it doesn't. Mine works. The size means I can fit all my music, once converted to .mp3 format on the thing with some room to spare and the compact nature of the device means I can plug it into the usb slot of my car's center console and not worry about it getting knocked around and broken off.
Cons: None yet.
Overall Review: I really like this thing. I leave it plugged in 24/7 and all my music is readily and easily accessible in the car; no messing with discs, no aux port cables for phone or music player sticking out of the center console, no futzing with a device while driving. Car recognizes the device and starts playing within about 20 seconds from plugging in the key-fob. Like it so much I just ordered another one for the radio in my son's room.
Pros: Price good for the capacity
Cons: Not too reliable
Overall Review: Purchased 2 to provide a boot disk mirror for a FreeNAS file server. One loaded the OS with no trouble. The other failed to silver the first drive or even have the OS load straight to the disk. This look like 50% reliability to me.
Pros: Works well, Burn Linux ISO and they boot, unlike the 3.0 version
Cons: A little hard to remove
Overall Review: will buy more
Pros: It is small in physical size. Works great. Absolutely no issues so far. Price is great for this capacity.
Cons: None.
Pros: SanDisk seems to have targeted this Flash Drive for Car Audio or anything that's primary purpose is to read. I am using this on the rear USB of a Kenwood BT955HD. It is read almost instantly by the Head Unit. Casual speed measurement indicates that the Read is almost 10X the Write. So if you are looking for a USB drive that is safely out of the way and unobtrusive it would be difficult to do better.
Cons: None really. People that need fast writes should look elsewhere. If your goal is fast Reads for Car Audio I don't know if there is a better choice. It is USB 2, BUT so are Car Audio HUs, my Kenwood was new on the shelves March 2013 and it is USB 2. All the Head Units I know of are USB2/Fat32.
Overall Review: Small size is perfect for people who plug the thumb drive into the front of the head unit. Even if you plug the USB thumb drive into a read USB the small size is still a bonus, easier to tuck away, less physical stress on the USB plugin. There is also the bonus that people have mentioned before of just plugging it into a laptop and forgetting about it.
Pros: This is just what I wanted. I needed a very compact USb 2.0 drive with good capacity to put music on to play on my car stereo. This is exactly that, and the price was really good. It works great and doesn't stick out of the USB slot on my car stereo to snag anything while I'm in my car.
Cons: There are no cons to this at all. It is perfect for what I wanted it for.
Overall Review: I would heartily recommend this drive to anyone who needs a compact USB drive. My car stereo does not work with USB 3.0 drives, so paying any extra for USB 3.0 speed would have been foolish. For my MP3 music this is great.
Pros: Small, reliable. It's so small that I just keep it in my laptop all the time -- this has been extremely useful as I never lose it, though I am prone to losing things and certainly thought I would lose this tiny thing. These are cheap too, can't beat them.
Cons: None
Pros: I ordered this flash drive for the stereo in my truck. It is amazingly small. The drive itself is barely bigger than the actual USB dongle. Access times are perfect and what you would expect.
Cons: The thing is so small, I'm afraid if I take it out of the truck I'm going to lose it.
Overall Review: Came loaded with SanDisk security software installer. I promptly deleted it since I will only be using it to hold music for my truck stereo.
