Pros: I was happy with my old 8GB Sandisk Cruzer but I needed another with more space, which this one provides.
Cons: It's only USB 2.0... not what the egg is subtracted for though because this wasn't made for 3.0 speeds.
I haven't used it much but if it's like my old Cruzer, if you do a lot of writing and deleting / re-writing, it will wear out rather quickly.
Pros: Higher read/write speeds than my old 4GB sandisk.
Benchmarks new then old:
(with a 1000MB file with 16kb allocation units)
New; 32GB NTFS: Read-23.571MBs/Write-5.493MBs
New; 32GB FAT32: Read-23.804MBs/Write-5.489MBs
Old; 4GB FAT32: Read-16.747MBs/Write-4.093MBs
Cons: Not really a con (actually a nice suprise), the color of the slider is red instead of white.
Feels a tad cheaper than my old 4gb.
Overall Review: People need to get over the keychain thing. If you dont have a ring off your old drive you could put on it, just stick a paperclip through the notch and get on with life.
The people with the bad reviews are not even verified owners. Just thought I'd point that out.
I have never had an issue with sandisk drives. It all started with the 1gb micro cruzer...
Pros: Never seen a failure, I have many of them. I primarily store hard-drive images on them using Symantec Ghost (the expensive corporate product, not the cheap Norton Ghost).
Cons: No cons that I can see so far. I can attach a little metal ring if I really care about hooking it to a key chain (like everyone bellyaches about)...what a bunch of whiners...waa waa. However, I've never dealt with SanDisk customer service like one person complained about, which could be a legitimate complaint.
Overall Review: Can't wait for larger capacity. There was a Japanese company that had a 64 GB solid-state USB thumb-stick back about 2005, but it cost US$5000 (yes, 5 grand). Imagine what capacity is possible now (2011) in a solid-state USB thumb-stick if money is no object.
Pros: Great storage drive for $28 on a shellshocker. Throw things on here that my low storage SSD doesn't need to house.
Cons: none.
Overall Review: The guy complaining about advertised space must not have owned a hard drive before. OS and Hard Drive manufacturers use different methods to measure space. HDD manufacturers measure 1GB = 1000MB where an OS reads 1GB = 1024MB. subsequently, actual space of a HD on the OS will read lower than what it states. This has been known for decades.
Overall Review: I've used SanDisk Cruzer flashdrives since they came out, I still have a 2GB that I constantly use and it's out lasted three computers. At first I thought the slide models (no cap) may break easily, not an issue and there is no cap to lose. The slide is all red and not white as shown. As of right now, November 2011, if you can find a USB Flash drive for less than a dollar a Gig it's worth looking at. I also don't do 'speed tests since I've never done a baseline on all of the different computers and ports and this one is fast enough for me. I used this to backup my complete system and files on my netbook that came with no software and it took less than 15 minutes while I was doing something else. I wanted a solid back up not a speed demon.
Pros: - 128GB
- Relatively Fast Drive for being USB 2.0
- I'm generally averaging arounnd 7-9MBPS Writing Speed and I was copying .5MB files and 1.5BG files with a total of around 50GB and it copied it over nicely
- Status light saying if the drive is in use... Kinda useful sometimes if you are wanting to remove the drive
- Not too big or small of a drive. I bought a drive that is so small I'm afraid I'm gonna lose it and I don't have this issue with this drive
- Arrived in a really fast time frame
- Was Packaged very nicely
Cons: - Only one... When I received the drive I immediately started copying over my archive, and when I got about half way done it stopped and told me it was full. I could not figure it out as I still had 70-80GB left. Turns out the drive came formatted as "exFat" So I had to format the drive as NTFS, then I was able to copy all my stuff over. It formatted in under 10 seconds and I was on my way. So if you're having problems with the drive, check to make sure that is is formatted as NTFS and you will have no problems at all.
Overall Review: - Great Drive that I would recommend to anyone wanting a decently large size flash drive for a decent price. It works perfectly as expected except for the issue I outlined in thee "Cons". I will probably buy more of these as it's a great deal for the amount of space you get, and It's a trusted brand that I've known forever.

Well it works...2/8/2012 3:42:10 PM
Pros: Capacity (29GB formatted)
Capless design
Reliability that comes from SanDisk products
Cons: SPEED - Tested with HD-Tune and sustained 15.6MB/s, this seriously should be faster than that. But, it works for what I need it for.
In actual usage I have seen as high as 12MB/s and as low as 4MB/s so that is pretty sad speeds.
Overall Review: I took a chance on this drive not being as slow as the other reviews said that it was, I would NOT buy this drive again!

Great Buy12/8/2011 9:57:29 PM
Pros: Great drive, bought it last week for $28.99. Seems to read and write fast with no hang ups. This is my 4th SanDisk drive and like it just like the rest. highly recommend this one and it's a good buy.
