Sandisk 256GB Ultra Fit USB 3.1 Flash Drive, Speed Up to 130MB/s (SDCZ430-256G-G46)

Pros: Sandisk is fair quality - I have several.

Cons: I was disappointed to find the shell is very thin plastic. I could break it easily with moderate finger pressure. Previous generation SDCZ43 series had the typical metal shell. Certainly ONE EGG OFF.

Overall Review: I used it on the rear of a PC as a "permanent" USB drive, so it's fine for that.

Pros: Great capacity to price ratio. Works flawlessly with FreeBSD on Raspberry Pi.

Cons: The part that plugs in is plastic, whereas other low-profile USB devices I own use metal. Could be an issue if you are plugging and removing a lot.

Overall Review: Definitely recommend for Ras Pi.

Pros: Inexpensive small storage for car audio

Cons: Write speed it rather low, but for car audio music storage its not a problem.

Overall Review: Appears very unreliable. Toward the end of its life it would work on 1 of my computers and did not initialize on others. The construction of this usb drive is not helping it dissipate heat. When it worked it was very slow approximately 18 mb/s write. Nowhere near usb 3.1 specs and I understand that it is the interface speed they are talking about when describing usb 3.1. Usb 3.1 is 10gb/s usb 3.0 is 5gb/s and usb 2.0 is 480mb/s. This drive is behaving like a usb 2.0 drive.

Pros: Great compact size and 256GB is excellent capacity for storing lots of pics, docs, even plenty of large video files. Speed is great too (what I've come to expect from Sandisk).

Cons: Not impressed at all with the construction of these thumb drives. I intended to put this drive on my key ring, but when it arrived, the thin, light weight, cheap plastic construction makes me doubt it would last long banging around on my key ring. I decided to continue my search for a better made drive for more mobile intention.

Overall Review: Overall, I'm still happy with Sandisk after this purchase, but I wish they would stick with sturdy and solid construction materials for their thumb drives. Plastic is even acceptable, but for Pete's sake, make it more sturdy and not so thin and flimsy for this nice of a thumb drive, please!

Pros: Very small and unobtrusive. It is perfect for staying plugged into my AV receiver in the front USB jack. I ripped all my CDs on to it and it works great.

Cons: The body of this tiny flash drive is all plastic including the part that plugs into the USB jack. It is not intended to be frequently plugged in and removed. It is designed for "stay and play" usage. If you keep this in mind then this flash drive will not let you down.

Pros: Plug it in and you are ready to go. I did not use the included encryption program.

Cons: This makes my Log*tek wireless mouse loose its mind. Probably not Sandisk's fault.

Overall Review: I leave it plugged in my laptop as it barely sticks out of the port. Windows 10.

Overall Review: i fear this thing wont last very long because it gets so hot like its gonna melt...how does something made of all plastic get so hot? i thought plastic was an insulator.
